Ryan Duncan said that Valimov was a machine. Bob Sky said that was a bad loss for Roberts and would push him near the bottom of the contender ladder.

It was now time for the Main Event! Since GCA was in Verdun, it seemed fitting to have "hometown" boy Walt Peterson against the only French competitor in GCA, Lucien Belanger! Both of these men had earned victories at "GCA: Domination" just one week ago. Walt peterson won by KO in a grueling fight with Jack Carter while Lucien belanger had a KO win over Curtis Vector in the first minute of the first round! Peterson said he wanted to be on the card in verdun and said he was fit to fight. Belanger considered Vector to be a warm up and hoped to have a real fight.

It was time for the Tale of the Tape: Peterson had the height and reach, but Lucien had the power, weight and no doubt fresher than Peterson.

"We Bury Our Dead At Dawn" by The Agony Scene started to play as the place roared. Walt Peterson was famous in this area, Philadelphia, Las Vegas , and Calgary for his stunts in pro wrestling. He had a big smile on his face as he came out and slapped hands with many of the fans. Even a lot of French fans liked him. He entered The Pentagon.

"TNT" by AC/DC started to play and Lucien came out waving the flags of France and Quebec. The fans cheered hard when they saw Lucien's patriotism. The place was split down the middle for both men. Julia Stevenson then made the introductions.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Main Event of Saturday Slaughter here in the Verdun Auditorium! The referee for this fight is GCA Head Official, Eric Brody! This fight is a heavyweight contest slated for 5 rounds!"

"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'4", weighs 239 pounds and is dressed in the navy trunks with white foot wraps! He is a Kickboxing expert and claims residency in Montreal, Quebec, Canada! He has a GCA record of 1-1 with 1 KO and represents Full Contact Combat! He is "The Punisher" Walt PETERSON!"

"And his opponent! He is a Savate Practioner originally from Quebec City but hailing from Nice, France. He stands at 5'9" and weighs 260 pounds. He is wearing the Short Light Blue Tights and has a GCA record of 1-1 with 1 KO. he is "Le Champion Du Monde" Lucien BELANGER!"

The mood was electric as Brody took center stage.

Brody: "Peterson, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'....Belanger, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...'IT'S GO TIME!'"

Round 1: The crowd were on their feet as this one got started. Belanger and Peterson met in the middle. They both threw out weak jabs, with Belanger trying to judge the difference in reach. They bobbed and weaved as both had a Stand Up Style, there would be no grappling here. The fans cheered loudly as Peterson pivoted and tried a Spin Kick. Lucien ducked it, rushed in and caught Peterson with a Hard Uppercut that sent Peterson down!

Winner by Knock out at 0:50 Round 1: "Le Champion Du Monde" Lucien Belanger

Ryan Duncan and Bob Sky, along with the fans were in a state of shock that it was over so soon. The Quebecois fans started started chanting "Be-lang-er!" Lusineraised his fists into the crowd as Peterson was helped up. Ryan Duncan said that Belanger was now on a roll, with two wins over 7 days.

"Brusies" by Unloco started to play as GCA Commissioner Stefano DiMera along with GCA Executive VP Meghan Roberts came down to The Pentagon. Stefano got on the mic and told Lucien to wait. Stefano said that he had known Walkt peterson for a long time, and in his heart, didn't want Walt to fight so soon after a hard bout at the PPV, butbecause of their friendship, Stefano agreed to let Walt fight in front of his "hometown" fans.

However, now came the time to make a decision based on not only friendship, but business. Stefano said that all bookings were fair and just, and no political stroke would or could be used here. Despite past friendships, all fighters have to prove themselves, and Walt peterson proved that he wasn't ready for "GCA: Code RED." Stefano said that he decided to take Walt out of the DvG Tournament because of his record and because of the two grueling fights in two weeks. Stefano then said that pending the results of an examination by Drs Sheridan and Duncan, Lucien Belanger would take Peterson's place!

Ryan said that Walt would be really upset to hear that, but Bob Sky said it was a bold, but good move, as Peterson needs a rest, and Belanger is fresh and has a better record.

Ryan Duncan thanked everyone for watching Saturday Slaughter and reminded them of Tuesday Throwdown, in which the new format for the shows would be unveiled, and then next saturday, on PPV..."GCA: Code RED" from The people's recreation Complex in Beijing, China!

On behalf of Bob Sky and everyone at GCA, thanks once again for watching GCA's Saturday Slaughter, good night.
