GCA Presents: Tuesday Throwdown, from Casino-Rama, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky were standing next to The Pentagon as the show opened. They thanked everyone for tuning in and said this was going to be the start of an exciting new era in the world of Fighting. Then they said it was time to go to the Pentagon and itroduce the Commissioner, Stefano.
"Bruises" by Unloco started to play and Stefano entered the Pentegon. He thanked the fans for buying tickets, thanked Casino-Rama for the venue, thanked Fox Sports World for the TV coverage and then thanked the fighters for signing with GCA, some 28 Light-Weight and Heavyweight fighters had signed. He then said that this evening, we would witness 4 fights between 8 great fighters. Stefano then said he was getting out of the way so that GCA could show us what they were about!
Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky then talked about the first match. It was a Light-Weight bout between "Hip Hop" Dave Franklin and "The Barbarian" Barry Connor. It was time for the Tale of the Tape. Hip Hop Dave at 5'11" had a one inch height advantage. However, the bigger thing was the weight adavntage, Hip Hop Dave was 28 pounds heavier than Connor! Then they compared styles, Barry Connor is a master at Ju-Jitsu, so he should be able to use Dave Franklin's weight against him. Hip Hop Dave is controversial because he uses a highly unorthodox style called "Hip Hop Kido" which blends Urban Dancing and Kickboxing. A lot laugh at Hip Hop dave and he had something to prove in this fight. It was time for the entrances.
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana began to blast through the speakers as "The Barbarian" Barry Connor made his way to The Pentagon. He got in the ring and was checked by referee Eric Brody.
A few fans laughed, some booed as "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" by Wil Smith started to play as Hip Hop Dave Franklin came out. He rasied the roof while walking down to The House of Pain. He entered and was checked by Brody
Julia Stevenson then got on the mic. To her left, from Seattle, Washington, USA, standing at 5'10", weighing 162 pounds, a student of Ju-Jitsu, "The Barbarian"...Barry CONNOR!
And then, to the right, standing at 5'11", weighing 190 pounds, from the "Ghettos" of Mobile, Alabama, USA...The Master of Hip Hop Kido..."Hip Hop" Dave FRANKLIN!
Julia left the ring as Martini and Sky said it was going to be an interesting fight. Brody looked at Hip Hop Franklin and said "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?" He looked at Barry Connor "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?"..."IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 1: The fans cheered as both men met in the middle of the Pentagon. Barry Connor stuck first with a big slam that took Dave down. Dave managed to wriggle free and got back to his feet. Connor tried a double leg takedown but Hip Hop dropped a couple of elbows onto the back of Barry's head. Barry took a step back and both men were at a vertical base. Hip Hop then threw a couple of wild overhand punches and backed Barry up against the fence. Barry set up a guard as Hip Hop threw punches. They didn't do much damage and the Round ended.
Round 2: Brody yelled "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?"..."IT'S GO TIME!" and the second Round was underway. Martini and Sky agreed that Hip Hop looked good in the 1st, but only the three judges, Hulk Hogan, Stefano and Billy Blanks knew how they were scoring it. Hip Hop scored with a beautiful pump kick that hit Connor in the abdomen. He then followed up with an uppercut that grazed, but still shook up Barry. Barry got in a couple of soft blows, Hip Hop hit a left but then hit a Leg sweep that put Barry on his back. Hip Hop mounted and punched until the end of the Round.
Round 3: Sky and Duncan agreeed that Hip Hop was scoring major points, but Barry came out big at the start of Round 3. He picked up Hip Hop Dave and slammed Dave into the mesh of the Cage and then slammed him on the canvas. Hip Hop dave got a guard up as Barry positioned and looked for an opening for a submission. Hip Hop threw a couple of kicks on his back at Connor's chest and Connor got on a good slap on Dave's cheek. The Round ended with Barry grounding and pounding on Dave.
Round 4: This was the final round and although Hip Hop looked strong early on, Duncan said momentmum was shifting to The Barbarian Barry Connor. The 4th Round opened up with a big hook by Dave and a tremendous slam by Barry. he tried to ground and pound again but Dave got in a seated position and got to his feet. dave started the pursuit, throwing some hard punches and backing away when Barry would go for the legs. Barry lunged forward and Dave threw a front kick, nailing Barry in the face. bary went down hard and Brody jumped in right away as Hip Hop Dave did the worm in celebration.
Winner by Knock-Out at 2:09 of the 4th Round: Hip Hop Dave Franklin!
After the Commercial break, Ryan Duncan and Bob Sky said that that was a good match and maybe Hip Hop dave Franklin's style should be taken more seriously. But now, it was time for the other Light-weight match on this premiere Throwdown. Matthew "The One" Draeven would face Count Ronaldo Montillan. Bob Sky this one looked interesting on paper. Both men had striking styles, so there wouldn't be a lot of grappling. This one should prove to be explosive. It was now time for The Tale of The Tape: Matthew Draeven had the height advantage by 1 and a 1/2 inches. Draeven had a 12 weight advantage, but the interesting thing to note was the age difference. Count Ronaldo was 9 years older than Draevan...in a striking game, that might make a big difference.
"May All Saints" by joy electric started to play and the fans looked confused as they heard the all synth sounds. Bob Sky said that this music was eeie and typical of Count Ronaldo's style. Count Ronaldo came out and entered The Pentagon. He was checked by Brody and waited.
The fans started to cheer as "Wake Up" by Rage Against the Machine started to play. Out came Matthew Draeven, dressed to look like Neo. Sky said that it was a gimmick and wouldn't affect the match, but it did make for a nice entrance. Draeven got to the entrance, removed his trenchoat and glasses and entered The pentagon where he and Brody had a pre-match talk.
Julia Stevenson then began to announce: To her left, standing at 6'1", weighing 175 pounds. A 5th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate, from naples, Italy...Count Ronaldo MONTILLAN! The crowd clapped weakly.
To the right, standing at 6'2"1/2 inches, weighing 187 pounds, from Brisbane, Australia, a student of White Crane Kung Fu...Matthew "The One" DRAEVEN! He got the louder reaction.
Eric Brody stood in the middle of the Pentagon and asked them both the same question..."YOU READY FOR COMBAT?"..."IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 1:They met in the middle of the Pentagon and Ronaldo threw a nice jab kick that hit Draeven just below the hip. They threw some kicks and punches, but nothing really connected. Ronaldo then snapped a left jab that caught Draeven. Ronaldo then shortly after caught Matthew with a stinging left hook on the cheek. However, as Ronadlo was stepping back, Draevan caught Count Ron with a Spinning back kick to the quad.
Round 2: Ronaldo threw a high right kick that hit Draeven hard in the shoulder. Draeven scored with a palm thurst to the chest. Ronaldo answered back with a half circle kick and then tried a Crescent Kick. Draeven caught the foot, spun Ronaldo around and nailed him in the back of the head with a Jump Kick. Ronaldo went down and hit the canvas face first. Dr. Tim Sheridan and Dr Bryan Duncan checked on Count Ronaldo and with paramedics, carried him out.
Winner by Knock Out at 4:17 of the 2nd Round: Matthew "The One" Draeven!"
After commerical, Ryan Duncan and Bob Sky commented on the fight, with clips of the kick to the back of the head being shown in slow-mo. They then said they received word that Count Ronaldo had a concussion but would recover fully in a few weeks. Now it was time for the Heavyweights.
The first Heavyweight Bout was betwen a street smart Philly kid and a former pro wrestler. It was time for The Tale of The Tape. Tyrique Jones is a natural athlete who showed skill in basketball and Tae-Kwon-Do. He made Tae-Kwon-Do his focus and at the age of 20 was a 3rd degree balck belt. His opponent is a former pro wrestler who wanted a taste of real combat. Tyrique Jones calls himself "Simply Fantastic" and at 6'2" 225, he is big enough to do that. However, as big as Ty is, Kindred is that much bigger! He is 6'5" and 275 pounds and uses the ground game. This promises to be exciting.
"Yes Yes Y'all" by Wil Smith started to play and out came Tyrique Jones. He was smiling and looked confident as he entered The Pentagon.
"Sweet Dreams" by Marylin Manson started to play and out came Kindred. He was dressed in a Gothic shirt and looked to have fangs! Bob Sky reminded everyone that biting wasn't allowed, so Ty didn't have to fear the teeth. He entered and removed the shirt.
Julia Stevenson then announced: To her left, standing at 6'2", weighing, 225 pounds, fighting out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, a 3rd degree black belt in the discipline of Tae-Kwon-Do, he is "Simply Fantastic" Tyrique JONES! The fan cheered and applauded loudly.
His opponent, from Transylvania, a Saambo technician, standing at 6'5", weighing 275, Vladimir "Kindred" DAVOVITCH!
Julia left as Brody took centre stage..."YOU READY FOR COMBAT?"..."IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 1: The fans cheered as Tyrique got Kindred in the face with a fast jab, but Kindred's only reaction was to slam Tyrique chest first onto the mat! Kindred tried throwing punches, but Tyrique covered up the back of his head and then rammed his heel into Vladimir's kidneys. Vlad let Tyrique up and then did a double leg take down where Kindred broke Tyrique's attempted guard and got some shots into the ribs. Tyrique then threw sonme punches at Kindred's face, not really connecting as the first round drew to a close.
Round 2: Round 2 started off with Tyrique hitting Kindred with a fast 1-2 punch combo. Tyrique then knocked Kindred on his butt with a thrust kick to the chest. Kindred went down hard and Tyrque mounted. Kindred set up a great guard though and had inpenetrable triangles. Kindred held Tyrique's arms and forced Brody to re-start them on their feet. On their feet, Tyrique snapped a kick just above Kindred's knee. Kindred went down on one knee and Ty jumped on him throwing more punches. He hit Kindred hard below the eye and Kindred started bleeding! Vladimir managed to get his gaurd up and once again tied up Ty Jones, forcing Brody to break them up. They restarted and Tyrique got a left jab under Vlad's eye, opening it up a little more.
Round 3: Duncan and Sky said that "Simply fantastic" Tyrique Jones was living up to that name, they said he was dominating big time. Kindred charged at Ty, but Ty kicked Kindred on the outer thigh to stop his progress. Tyrique then threw a hard high left kick, snapping the heel back so that it nailed Kindred under the eye again! Kindred fell down again, as Tyrique mounted and pounded. Eric brody jumped in, threw Tyrique off and stopped the fight due to Kindred's bloody eye! Tyrique ran around the Pentagon pumping his fists into the air as Vladimir Davovitch was helped to the back where he would be treated.
Winner by Ref Stoppage at 0:47 of Round 3: "Simply Fantastic" Tyrique Jones!

His stregnth, size and weight perfectly compliments his Shoot Fighting which he learned in the US Marine Corps. Rudy "Dolemite" Jackson is 8 inches shorter than Roberts and gives up 75 pounds. Don't count Dolemite out though, he has no fear nd wants to live by his movie hero's slogan.
"Fist Full" by Cypress Hill started to play as Rudy "Dolemite" Jackson came out to a nice response. He got in the Pentagon and stretched.
"Crush'em" by Megadeth started to play and the fans cheered loudly for Bruce "Big Train" Roberts. He had a presence about him as he walked to the ring.

Rudy threw elbows at Bruce's head and managed to escape.Bruce charged at Rudy and caught Bruce with an uppercut to the cheek, making Bruce wobbly on his legs. Rudy tried to throw more shots, but Bruce was keeping out of reach. He was backed up to the cage when he clinched with Rudy and the round ended.

Round 3: Bruce continued his agression by punching Dolemite with an overhand punch and then using a single leg take down. They jockeyed for position with Dolemite trying to use his free heel to strike at Roberts. They were forced up by referee Brody, and then Bruce got another slam for the takedopwn.
