
GCA's Tuesday Throwdown; April 5, 2005 from Sir John A. MacDonald Memorial Stadium in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
"Bruises" by Unloco played as lights flashed in the John A. MacDonald Memorial Stadium. Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed everyone to what was sure to be an action packed installemnt of GCA's Tuesday Throwdown! With GCA: Annhilation just days away, in what was sure to be a big event, Throwdown would set the stage nicely.
It was time for the first fight and that meant The Tale of The Tape: Mong Boo and Ting Shan were 1-0. They employ striking styles. Mong Boo has the second fastest win time of 0:15, bettered only by Hip Hop Dave Franklin.
"I Don't Mind" by taste started to play as Mong Boo came out to cheers. he made his way to the pentagon and waited.
"Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But Something is Gonna Hapen" by Norma Jean started to play and out came Ting Shan. he made his way to the pentagon where Julia Stevenson was waiting.
Julia: "Ladies and gentlement, welcome to GCA's Tuesday Throwdown! This first fight is a Light Weight fight slated for 5 rounds. The refreee is Jean Claude Van Damme!"
"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He is an expert in Muay Thai from Bangkok, Thailand. He stands at 5'10" and weighs 176 pounds. He is dressed in Blue Boxing Trunks with red trim and has a GCA record of 1-0 with 1 KO. He is "Phenomenal" Mong BOO!"
And his opponent. He stands at 5'9" and weighs in at 161 pounds. He is a practicioner of Kung Fu, specializing in Tiger Style. He has a GCA record of 1-0 with 1 KO and is a member of Jing Wu. Dressed in white Gi pants and fighting out of Beijing, China, he is "Leaping Tiger" Ting SHAN!"
Jean Claude Van Damme: "You ready to fight? Let's do this!"
Round 1: Mong Boo started it off with a wild combo. He hit two left jabs, two right jabs and a 3 Knee strike! Ting Shan was dazed and had welts on his face early! Ting Shan recovered, caught Mong Boo's left hand and gave Mong Boo three elbow shots to the face and a short kick to the sternum! Both men were taking damage early on. Ting kept up the attack with a forearm shot followed by a spinning back kick that sent Mong Boo reeling! Both of their faces were battered looking.Mong Boo then did a Muay Thai clinch and threw knees that Ting blocked. Near the end of the round, Mong caught Ting in the chest with an elbow. The round ended with applause and cheers.
Ryan Duncan said that Ting Shan is an entertaining fighter, noting his debut fight with Jack Chun. Bob Sky that both men were dishing out punishment, but Ting Shan looked to be stronger.

Round 2: Mong Boo came out once again, and scored with a couple of good hooks that caught the shoulder of Ting Shan. They circled when Moing Boo scored with kicks to the leg. Ting Shan tried to attack, but Mong Boo was able to dodge effectively. It was quiet for a while then Mong Boo exploded with a left jab, right uppercut, left uppercut, right hook and then a right High Roundhouse that sent Ting to the mat!

Ryan Duncan was impressed by the speed. Bob Sky said that Muay Thai is just as lethal as Kung Fu, and this is another example why.

It was now time for a heavyweight fight between randy hawerchuck and "Heavy Hittin" Dan Howards, but first, The Tale of The Tape: Both men were the same height. Howards was heaver and older. Both employed a ground style and both needed a win tonight.
"Rawkfist" by Thousand Foot Krutch started to play and randy came out dressed like a Mountie. he removed the costume and ebetered The Pntagon.
"Coat of Arms" by lengsel started to play and out came Dan Howards. H made his way down as he was booed.
Julia Stevenson: "Ladies and gentlemen, this next fight is a Heavyweight Bout scheduled for 5 rounds. the referee for this fight will be Steven Seagal!"
"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'2" and weighs 230 pounds. He is a Nin-kitsu fighter from Thunder By, Ontario, Canada. H is dressed in Red Gi pants and has a GCA record of 0-2. He is a member of the Canadian All-Stars. H is Randy HAWERCHUCK!"
"And his opponent. He is a Shoot Fighter from Cleveland, Ohio, USA. he stands at 6'2" and weighs in at 244 pounds. He is wearing the Green Short Tights, and black kneepads. he represents The Shooters Dojo with a GCA record of 0-2. He is "Heavy Hittin" Dan HOWARDS!"
Steven Seagal: "You ready? BRING THE PAIN!"
Round 1: Dan howards got in a couple of lefts and then got a takedown. Randy got half guard, but then Dan wrestled, and got Side Mount! He locked up Randy's limbs and fired away with his free hand! Randy's face was opened up but he got free and got Half Guard again. Randy then managed to get Full Guard and fired from the bottom, forcing Howards to cover up. Randy tried to sweep, but Howards got Back Mount! He slapped on a rear Naked Choke and squeezed hard, but the buzzer sounded!
Ryan Duncan said Dan Howards is ready. Bob Sky said that Hawerchuck was really lucky.

Round 2: Howards got the takedown early. he tried submissions but hawerrchuck was able to guard. Hawerchuck tried to break free, but Howards got Back Mount again! Howards was patient and picked his spots. He rained down with heavy hands on the back of hawerchick's head. Randy didn't do much to defend himself in Seagal's opinion and the fight was stopped!

Both commentators agreed that Dan Howards owned that fight. It was exciting to see.

Ryan welcomed everyone back and said it was Main Event time. matthew "The One" Draeven v "Rather Studly" Mike Burnett. It was time for The Tale of The Tape:
Draeven had a good reach advantage, he would have had a bigger weight advantage, but Mike has been beefing up more in an attempt to become stronger. Both men employed strikes in their fight game.
"Wake Up" by Rage Against The Machine startted to play and put came Matthew Draeven dressed like Neo. The fans jeered him as he disrobed and entered The Pentagon.
"No Leaf Clover" by Metallica played and the fans cheered until they saw Mike's outfit. He was wearing his normal Leaf's Shorts, but more plain to the eye was a big Blue Vintage 77 Leafs Jersey. The Ottawa crowd who are rabid about the Senators turned on Mike. Mike didn't seem to care as he entered The Pentagon and stared at Draeven.

"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. he stands at 6'2 1/2" inches and weighs 187 pounds. He is a master of White Crance Kung Fu and is fighting out of Brisbane, Autralia. He is dressed in White spandex trunks with "The One" on the butt in black lettering. he has a GCA record of 2-1 with 2 KO. He is Matthew "The One" DRAEVEN!"
"And his opponent. He stands at 5'11" and weighs in at 180 pounds. He is a Shotokan Karate Fighter from Toronto, Ontario canada. Dressed in the Greay Shorts with the "Toronto Maples Leafs" ensignia on the side, he has a GCA record of 1-2 with 1 Submission. He is a former ECW: Hardcore Revolution Champion. He is "Rather Studly" Mike BURNETT!"
Eric Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT? IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 1: They circled each other and Mike threw a Middle Roundhouse kick. Draven stepped past it and hit him with two quick jabs. Mike was quick to back away and cover up. Draeven tried a side kick that missed the mark. Mike bobbed and weaved, stepped in and hit a straight punch to the stomach. Matthew tyen faked with a kick, stepped in, knned Burnett in thge stomach, and when Burnett bent over, Drtaeven kicked him in the side of the head with a Thrust Kick! It was over!
