GCA's Tuesday Throwdown; April 12, 2005 from the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Canada


Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed everyone to GCA's Tuesday throwdown from Olympic Stadium in Montreal. With the expos long gone, something new was needed to occupy the building, and GCA is it! Tonight, coming off the heels of an amazing PPV Spectacular, 6 fighters would try to claw up another rung on the ladder.

Throwdown Pre Fight Comments

First off the first ever, now former GCA Light-Weight Champ, Esteban Suave would battle Alexi Natamenchu. But first, it was time for The Tale of The Tape:

Both fighters were on the upper end of the scales, but Natamenchu had a 13 pound weight advantage, but he gave up 2 inches in height. Both of these men were grapplers. Natamenchu lost in his debut fight to "Warrior" David Wilson while this was Esteban's first time in The Pentagon since losing his title.

"I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred started to play and out cane Esteban Suave to jeers and laughter.

"99 Ways To Die" by megadeth played as Alexi Natamenchu made his way out with Vladimir "Kindred" Davovitch!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to GCA's Tuesday Throwdown! This first fight is a Light-Weight Fight scheduled for 5 rounds. The referee for this contest is Jean Claude Van Damme!"

"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. he stands at 6'2" and weighs 184 pounds. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter from Rio de Jinero, Brasil! He is dressed in Knee length White Trunks with a Red Heart on the Butt and has a GCA record of 2-1 with 1 Submission and 1 ref Stoppage, he will forever go down in history as being the 1st GCA Light-Weight Champion...he is Esteban SUAVE!"

"And his opponent. He is a student in the Arts of Sambo. He stands at 6'0" and weighs in at 197 pounds. He is wearing Black spandex trunks with red trim and has a GCA Record of 0-1. Fighting out of Kiev, Ukraine and fighting for The Embraced, he is Alexi NATAMENCHU!"

Jean Claude Van Damme: "You ready to fight? Let's do this!"

Round 1: Esteban Suave came out and did a self tackle, he had guard and tried a triangle choke, Alexi Natamenchu punched out of it, wrapped his legs around Esteban's and ended it with a Knee Bar!

Winner by Submission at 0:39 of Round 1: Alexi Natamenchu!

Bob Sky and Ryan Duncan were amazed. Natamenchu seemed to have trained hard under Kindred for this fight. Ryan Duncan said the past few days have been huige for The Embraced, with Andrei Valimov going 4-0 and getting a Title Shot, Kindred defeating EJB in round 1 at GCA: Annihilation and now Alexi getting the first round win over the former Light Weight Champ. Ryan Duncan said GCA would be right back.

Ryan Duncan welcomed everyone back and said that they had an update on "The Electric Joy Boy" Forsythe Perkins. Ryan said for those few GCA who didn't order the PPV, the EJB tapped to Kindred after a Shoulder Lock. EJB looked to be hurt, and upon further examination and an overnight stay in hospital to be safe, EJB had a dislocated shoulder. It was set in place at The Krypt by Dr Sheridan, but nobody took any chances. EJB is now resting up and should be ready to fight in around a month.

It was time for the next fight between "Big Mac Attack" Travis McClain and "Pure Gold" Curtis Vector. But first, the Tale of The Tape:

McClain was HUGE! He was heavy before, but he put on even more weight since his last fight. He outwighed Vector by 68 pounds and had 3 inches on him too! Vector was a world class wrestler while Travis employed an unique striking style. Both men lost their last fight at GCA: Turmoil in Tokyo. MClain fell to Shawnte Gold and Vector was beaten quickly by cesar Belfonta

"Kill and Deceive" by Figure Four started to play as Travis McClain came out. he pumped both fists and then made his way down to The Pentagon.

"O Canada" as played by the RCMP Brass Band played and the Qubecois fans booed Vector has he carried the Canadian Flag. He waved it proudly as he made his way to The House of Pain.

Julia Stevenson: "Ladies and gentlemen. This next fight is a Heavyweight fight slated for 5 rounds! The referee for this fight is Steven Seagal!"

"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'4" and weighs in at 295 pounds. He is a Drunken Boxer fighting out of Piuttsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He is dressed in the Silver Trunks with White Trim and has a GCA record of 1-3 with 1 KO. He is "Big Mac Attack" Travis MCCLAIN!"

"And his opponent, he is a Freestyle Wrestler and former bronze Medal Winner at the Commonwealth games. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 227 pounds. He is wearing the White Wrestling Singlet with red trim, and the Maple Leaf on the front. Fighting out of Regina, saskatchewan with a GCA record of 1-3 with 1 Decision. He is a member of The Canadian All-Stars. he is "Pure Gold" Curtis VECTOR!"

Steven Seagal: "You Ready? BRING THE PAIN!"

Round 1: McClain started off with a bang as vector tried a takedown, but McClain gabbed him, hit a hard grappling hook, followed up with three rolling punches and a knee to the stomach that had Vector doubled over! mcClain then kicked Vector in the leg and hit a shot to the body. Vector backed up and tried to regain his composure. he came in, hit a leg kick on Travis and then followed up with a two left fist combo, the second strike being a back handed fist. Travis was dazed by the backhand and vector took advantage. He tripped McClain, tackled him and mounted. he threw a HARD double hammer fist that cut McClain. Vector did some more ground and pound but the buzzer sounded, ending the round.

Ryan Duncan said that this was an even fight so far, with McClain taking control in the first half but Vector having control in the latter half. Bob Sky said Round 2 would be an important round.

Round 2: Vector came out and clinched. he threw a couple of knees and then did a jumping knee strike that ROCKED McClain and made the cut worse.McClain went down and Vector mounted. he threw shots to the body and face. McClain could only block as Vector stayed on top amd kept hitting until thje round finished.

Ryan Duncan said that it was starting to look bad for McClain and the cut was getting worse with each strike by Vector. Bob Sky said if travis McClain plans on winning, it has to happen now.

Round 3: Curtis Vector attacked the elgs of mcClain and hit a couple of jabs. He tried to take down McClain, but McClain kneed him and threw a couple of wild haymakers. Vector was backed up, Travis McClain staggered back and stumbled in, Vector side stepped, clubbed McClain in the temple and McCalin went down in a heap. Vector Back Mounted and Pounded away...Seagal jumped in and called it!

Ryan Duncan said it was a tough loss for McClain. Bob Sky said that sometimes you win, sometimes you don't, the important thing is to learn from losses. It was time for a break and the Main Event!

Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed everyone back to GCA's Tuesday Throwdown. it was time for the Main Event...The Battle of Quebec II between "Le Champion Du Monde" Lucien Belanger and "The Punisher" Walt Peterson.

It was time for The Tale of The Tape: WMP put on some weight and the gap was closed to 10 pounds in favor of belanger. One thing that doesn't change though is the height. WMP still had the 7 inch reach advantage. Lucien belanger's most recent fight ended in a loss to "Scottish Fury" Duncan MacPherson in the first round of DvG back at GCA: Code RED. Peterson's most recent outing was a loss to John Satra. The last time these two met, it was at saurday Slaughter back on march 5 in the Verdun Auditorium and it was there Belanger KOed WMP in the 1st round.

"TNT" by AC/DC started to play and the crowd roared as Lucien came out waving the French and Quebec flags. He made his way down and entered The Pentagon.

"Sydwinder" by EastWest started to play and Ryan Duncan said this was Walt Peterson's new theme music. Walt Peterson came out to some cheers but also a lot of boos. he walked down toward The Pentagon and stared at Belanger.

Julia: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Main Event of GCA's Tuesday Throwdown and it has been dubbed: "The Battle of Quebec II!" This fight is scheduled for 5 rounds and the third man in Thbe pentagon for this fight will be GCA head Official Eric Brody! thye Judges for this fight are "Batman" Adam West, "Walker, Texas Ranger" Chuck Norris and "Mr. Tae Bo" Billy Blanks!"

"Introuducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 5'9" and weighs 260 pounds. He is a Savate expert fighting out iof Nice, France. Wearing the short light blue tights and with a GCA record of 2-2 with 2 KOs. He is the man who won the first battle of Quebec here in GCA. he is "Le Champion Du Monde" Lucien BELANGER!"

"And his opponent. He is a Kickboxer fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. he stands at 6'4" and weighs 250 pounds. He is dressed in Navy Trunks with White trim and white foot wraps. He has a GCA record of 1-3 with 1 KO. He represents Full Contact Combat. he is "The Punisher" Walt PETERSON!"

Eric Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT? IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 1: Peterson came out with a left leg low kick middle kick combo that caught Belanger. he followed up with a right stright, left hook and right roundhouse combo. Lucien was stunned and Peterson then sent him reeling with a Jumping Roundhouse! peterson charged in with hooks and a Knee raise. Belanger fired back by throwing WMP into the air! he then charged, did a push kick, pinned WMP against the fence and thjrew hard rights. teh buzzer ended with both men still swinging! Brody jumped in and got in both guys faces!

Ryan Duncan said this was a fight with bad blood. Bob Sky said both men need to keep their wits, a DQ would be a senseless way to lose.

Round 2: Belanger fired first, getting a left tghrust kick, a 3 punch jab and straight combo and an forearm shot. WMP came right back with 4 jabs and a knee strike to the gut. Lucien Belanger backed up and they circled each other. lucien went in with a kick, but WMP stepped into it and hit the spinning back fist! Lucien went down and was out!

Winner by KO at 1:43of Round 2: "The Punisher" Walt Peterson

Ryan Duncan and Bob Sky agreed that it was a good fight and an important win for Peterson. They each had a victory over each other. Sowemtime down the road a third fight to settle it once and for all had to come.
