
Tuesday Throwdown, March 1, 2005 from the Hartford Civic Center in hatford, CT, USA
The fans in the Hartford Civic Center were cheering loudly as it was time to start Tueaday Throwdown! Highlights played from "GCA:Domination" and the fans cheered. They then booed as the highligght showing Fritz Kohler winning the GCA Heavyweight Title played, but the bood turned to cheers when footage of Andrew Woods confronting Kohler played. Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed everyuone to a great night of fighting as Tuesday Throwdown would have four great matches.
The first fight slated was Virgil Norton v Demont "Pimp Daddy Slick" Clemons
It was time for the Tale of the Tape: Norton had a 1 inch height advantage but Clemons had a 17 pounds weight advantage. Both men were wrestlers.
"Blunt Force Trauma" by Damageplan started to play as Virgil Norton came out to cheers. he made his way down and entered The Pentagon.
"Fight Song" by D12 hit the PA and the fans cheered as Demont "Pimp Daddy Slick" came out strutting his stuff. he had a big grin as he entered.
Julia Stevenson: "Ladies and gentlemen, this fight is a Light-Weight fight scheduled for 5 rounds. The referee for this contest is Jean Claude Van Damme. Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 16 pounds. A Submission Wrestler wearing the White Spandex Shorts. From New York City, New York, with a GCA Record of 0-1 he is Virgil NORTON!"
"And his opponent. He is a Freestyle Wrestler with a GCA Record of 0-1. Standing at 6'0", weghing in at 183 pounds and wearing Black and Blue Striped Spandex Singlet. From Detroit, Michigan, he is Demont "Pimp Daddy Slick" Clemons!"
Jean Claude: "Norton, 'YOU READY TO FIGHT?'...Clemons, 'YOU READY TO FIGHT?'...'LET'S DO THIS!'"
Round 1: Both men met in the middle of The pentagon. Demont scored a take down. Virgil rolled through it, grabbed the ankle and slapped on an Ankle Lock! Demont tapped!
Winner by Submission at 0:15 Round 1: Virgil Norton!
Bob Sky said that he veryt impressed with Norton's technique. Ryan Duncan said that Throwdown would return after these messages.

Nick "The Nightmare" Johnson v Ed Pitts
It was time for the Tale of the Tape: Nick Johnson had a 3 inch height advantage. Pitts had an 11 pound weight advantage. Nick was a Wrestler and Pitts was a Shoot Fighter.
"Sleeping Awake" by P.O.D started to play and out came Nick Johnson waving a Canadian Flag high into the air. Ryan Duncan said that several fighters had formed alliances now and that Nick joined Curtis Vector and Randy Hawerchuck to for the Canadian All Stars. He got into The Pentagon and waited.
"Born to Crush You" by Icepick started to play as Ed Pitts came out with Bruce Roberts. They made their way down and Ed got into the Pentagon while Bruce went to Ed's corner.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this next fight is a Light Weight contest slated for 5 rounds! The referee for this bout is Jean Claude Van Damme. Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 157 pounds. He is dressed in the Green Wrestling Singlet and has a GCA Record of 1-2 with 1 Stoppage. From halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and a Member of the Candian All Stars, he is Nick "The Nightmare" JOHNSON!

And his opponent. He stands at 5'10" and weighs in at 168 pounds. He is a Shoot Fighter with a GCA Record of 0-1. Wearing the Gold Spandex trunks and fighting out of Los Angeles, California. he represents The Shooters Dojo. He is Ed PITTS!
Jean Claude: "Johnson, 'YOU READY TO FIGHT?'...Pitts, 'YOU READY TO FIGHT?'...'LET'S DO THIS!'"
Round 1: The fight started on the gorund, where everyone figured it would go. Johnson tried ground and Pound while Pitts was looknig for submissions. Pitts was on the bottom, but fired up a couple of nice lefts then managed to roll Johnson over. Johnson got in a weak shot and both men then jockeyed for position. Johnson tried to get on top but couldn't, but he did get up a closed full guard and held Pitts at bay. As the round was winding down, Johnson got a nice sweep and ended up mounting Pitts, he got in one good body shot when the buzzer sounded.
Bob Sky said it was a close fight, Ryan Duncan concurred and said it was time for a quick break.

Ryan welcomed us back as Jean Claude stood ready.
"YOU READY TO FIGHT?...YOU READY TO FIGHT?...LET'S DO THIS!"
Round 2: Ed Pitts scored a good left jab and followed up with a shoot attempt. Johnson rolled through it and got on top of Pitts. he threw some shots and then Pitts got on to of Johnson again, trying a for a neck crank. Johnson blocked it and fired away again. They rolled around, and moved on the ground and Bob Sky said it was like a chess game. They got to the fence where Nick put his feet up against it to get himself free. He got to his feet and Pitts pushed him against the fnece trying for another takedown. Johnson stopped him and they clinched for the rest of the round.
Ryan said there wasn't much excitment in that round. Bob Sky said the ground game is appreciated by those who know it. It was time for a break.

Ryan Duncan said he was excited as this PPV would be coming live from China. Jean Claude was ready to get the action going again.
"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 3: Johnson came out with a couple of good kicks to the legs. Ed tried a takedown but Johnson pushed him off. Ed then lept forward and caught Johnson with a wicked Hook! Johnson was knocked against the Cage and Pitts rushed in. He kneed Johnson a couple of times and took him down. He tried a kumura armbar, but Johnson stopped him, he tried a neck crank but Johnson stopped him. He then tried a shoulder lock, but the buzzer sounded and this one was over.
Ryan Duncan said that Pitts seems to be the aggressor. Bob Sky said it was still a close fight and could go either way. It was time for a short message.

Ryan Duncan welcomed everyone back and commented that SolidState Records provided theme songs for such fighters as Walt Peterson, Travis McClain, Nelson MacDonald and John Satra. Now it was time to go to the floor with Jean Claude.

Round 4: Ed Pitts started things off with a very nice takedown. However, Johnson managed to get out of it and fire back. Pitts then, on his back tried for a Triangle Choke! He almost had it locked in but Johnson made an escape. Pitts got up quickly and threw an overhand punch that dazed Johnson! Pitts started firing lefts and rights and the round came to a close with Johnson reeling!
Bob Sky said that with each round Ed Pitts was getting more and more dominant. Ryan Duncan said Throwdown will be back adter this:

Jean Claude: "YOU READY TO FIGHT?...YOU READY TO FIGHT?...LET'S DO THIS!"
Round 5: Nick Johnson and Ed Pitts met in the middle where Nick got in a decent slam. he then threw a couple of good punches and tried to ground and pound, landing a good hammer fist but Pitts got out of it and he mounted and punched. Nick was able to get a Half Guard and kept trying to tie up Ed's arms. Ed got an arm free and came down with a hard elbow shot. Nick started firing like a madman from the bottom , lefts and rights and keeping Pitts from scoring anymore damage. the buzzer sounded and this would go to the Judges.
Judge Billy Blanks scored it 50-40; Judge Chuck Norris scored it 50-35 and Judge Adam West scored it 50- 45.
The Winner by Unanimous Decision: Ed Pitts!
Ryan said that was a tough fight with boith men showing their combat spirit. Bob Sky said that Ed was very impressive for his tenacity and aggressiveness.
It was time for the heavyweights. The first fight would be Stan Roper v "Heavy Hittin" Dan Howards
It was time for The Tale of the Tape: They had the same height and Howards was two pounds havier. Howards was older by 6 years though.
"Twist The Knife(Slowly)" by Napalm's death started to play and Stan Roper came out and was flanked by "Brawlin" Billy Malone and Walt "The Punisher" Peterson. Ryan Duncan explained that these three men had form a fight group called "Full Contact Combat" and trained together. Since they did, Billy won, Walt won at PPV and now would Stan complete the triple threat?
"Coat of Arms" by Lengsel started to play as Dan Howards came out with Bruce Roberts. This was the second fight of the night to feature a Shooter. Dan got into the Pentagon, went to his corner, knelt, prayed and crossed himself.

Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'2" and weighs in at 242 pounds. He is a Freestyle Fighter from Phoenix, Arizona. Wearing the Green Cammoflauge Print Trunks and with a GCA record of 0-1, a Member of Full Contact Combat, Stan ROPER!"
"And his opponent, dressed in the Green Short Tights with Black Kneepads. He stands at 6'2" and weighs 244 pounds. A Shoot Fighter from Cleveland, Ohio who represents The Shooters. He has a GCA Record of 0-1. He is "Heavy Hittin" Dan HOWARDS!"
Steven Seagal: "Roper, 'YOU READY?'...Howards, 'YOU READY?'...'BRING THE PAIN!'"
Round 1: Roper tried a kick, but Howards caught the leg and took Roper down. Roper got up a Full guard however and he punched up at Dan. Roper got free and got to his feet. They circled each other and Roper tried to throw an uppercut. Howard's caught it and dropped, as he dropped he closed his legs around the arm and tried for an armbar! Stan was in trouble but before Howards could lock it in, Stan sat up and threw hammer fists at Dan's face. Howards let go and Roper shook his arm. Dan came in and tried a takedown but Stan kept him at bay. The round ended as sevral fans cheered.
Bob Sky said that Dan Howards was a dangerous individual. Ryan Duncan said Throwdown had to pause for a quick break.

Ryan welcomed everyone back.
Steven Seagal: "YOU READY?...YOU READY?...BRING THE PAIN!"
Round 2: Dan tried anohter takedown, but Stan kept him at bay with a 1-2 combo. Stan roper then tried a left thrust side kick that was blocked, then he fired a right roundhouse that nailed Dan and stunned him! Stan went for the takedown and started throwing punches. Bob Sky said that as a Freestyle Fighter, Stan knew about Striking and Submissions, but Stan better be cautious because the mat is Dan's world. Stan had nothnig to fear however, as his barrage of blows kept dan at bay. Some landed, most were blocked, but it was clear Roper was in control. The buzzer sounded and the round ended.
Bob Sky said that Stan looked very good in round 2. Ryan said that it was time for a word from a sponsor.

Ryan welcomed everyone back and said it was time for round 3.
Steven Seagal: "YOU READY?...YOU READY?...BRING THE PAIN!"
Round 3: Stan got two quick kicks to the leg, but then Dan fired a three punch combo that rocked Stan. Stan dropped to his knees and Dan Howards tried to apply a Guillotine Choke! Stan truned his head and avoided it, but Dan took advantage of the vulnerable position to throw some knee strikes. Stan pushed free and then tackled Dan who set up as Full Guard. They stayed there for the rest of the round.
Ryan and Bob agreed that Dan Howards was firmly in control of this bout. Now it was tome for a break.

Ryan said he was looknig forward to that match up. It was time for Round 4.
Steven Seagal: "YOU READY?...YOU READY?...BRING THE PAIN!"
Round 4: They circled each other and Dan faked a jab and went for the takedown. Stan set up guard and the chess match had resumed. dan tried a little ground and pound, but Stan blocked it very well. Dan tried a Key Lock, but Stan resisted. Stan threw some punches but Dan was able to deflect them. Dan then tried another armbar, but Stan got out of it. Stan the battled back and not only swept the guard, but he ended up on Dan's back! Dan Howards tried his best to cover up and fire back elbows but Roper's hammer fists were too much!
Winner by Knock Out at 3:10 Round 4: Stan Roper!
Ryan said he felt bad for Dan Howards, who had a great fight but lost. Bob Sky said that's how it goes.
Now it was time for the Main Event! it would feature:
Jose Guerrero v Nelson MacDonald
It was time for The Tale of the Tape: Jose Guerrero was shorter and lightyer than Nelson MacDonald.Both had strong ground games and Nelson was 8 years older than Jose.
"Give It Up" by Scxrewball started to play as Jose came down with his mentor, Alvarez Montoya Ricardo DeJesus. They got in The Pentagon and waited
"Raise Your Fist" by Stretch Armstrong started to play as Nelson came out with his fists raised. He walked down to The Pentagon looking confident.
Julia Stevenson: "Ladies and gentlemen, this next fight is ther Main Event of Throwdown! It is scheduled for 5 rounds and the referee for this bout is GCA Head Official Eric Brody!"
"Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He is a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu expert. Standing at 5'11" and weighing in at 218 pounds. From Mexico City, with a GCA Record of 1-0 with 1 Submission, wearing the Short Green Tights with the Mexican Flag on the butt. He is Jose GUERRERO!"
"And his opponent. Standing at 6'1" and weighing 222 pounds. He is wearing the Green and Blue Kilt with the Red spandex trunks underneath. He is a Freestyle Wrestler who is from the Scottish Highlands and represents The Highlanders. He has a GCA record of 1-0 with 1 Stoppage. He is Nelson MACDONALD!"
Brody: "Gureero, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...MacDonald, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...IT'S GO TIME!'"
Round 1: It didn't take long to get explosive as Nelson came out, lifted up Jose and SLAMMED him with a viscious suplex type move. nelson got on top and Jose did his best to cover up. He set up a Butterfly Guard that kept nelson from doing any more damage. Nelson broke free though and hit Jose with a couple of left hands. Jose did his best to cover and block, but he wasn't able to do much offense as it looked like he was trying to clear the cobwebs out of his head. nelson kept trying use the trusty ground and pound. the round ended and the fans cheered Nelson as it looked like he was off to a great start.
Bob Sky said that opening suplex slam put Jose in a world of hurt. It would be interesting to see if Nelson can opress the advantage. Ryan Duncan said it was time for a break.

Ryan Duncan welcomed the viewers back and said it was time to start round 2.
Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"
Round 2: They met in the middle and Nelson opened it up with another HUGE slam! he mounted Jose and started throwing punches again. Jose did his best to stop a KO from happenening, but he couldn't stop all the punches from getting through. Jose then wrapped his arms around Nelson and pulled him in close. Jose got the half Guard into a Full Closed Guard and Nelson struggled to break free but couldn't. After a while, Brody hauled them back to their feet. Jose caught nelson with some kicks to the leg and then they clinched against the fence. Nelson used his strength to push Jose off and to the floor. The buzzer went off before Nelson could pounce.
Ryan Duncan said Nelson was a beast in this match. Bob Sky said Nelson was in firm control. It was now time for another break.

Round 4: They met in the middle and Nelson tried grapplin Jose, Jose tried to spin away, but Nelson got behind him and hauls Jose back. As jose was falling back he used his foot to lift Nelson's leg, grabbed a hold, wrapped it between his legs and applied a Knee Bar! It was over!
Winner by Submission at 0:20 Round 4: Jose Guerrero
The fans were in disbelief but still cheered for Jose as he pulled off the win. Ryan said that it was unbelieveable Jose pulled it out like that. Bob Sky said that's the beauty of GCA, don't take anything for granted!
Ryan Duncan thanked everyone for watching and told everyone to watch out for Saturday Slaughter this saturday coming to you from the Verdun Auditorium with Walt Peterson squaring off against Lucien Belanger! Ryan Duncan then reminded everyone of "GCA: Code RED" from Beijing, China, March 12.
