WHAT WE DID!
SATURDAY
Saturday, we regrouped after we were joined by Selkie from New Hampshire, and set up our "rummage sale" items on the conference table. These included cast photos, magnets, fic CDs, and other very cool stuff donated by different attendees. Two items, a photo of Vin in a "wanted poster" frame and a candle holder with seven cowboys (both donated by Michele), were very popular, so it was decided to hold a silent auction for those items.
There were also two Vin bears, one looking ruggedly handsome in his OW outfit, which include a real leather coat, and the other ready for some law enforcement action in his ATF BDUs, which included a tiny embroidered "Tanner" name tag. They were adorably cute!
Some folks then opted to go sight-seeing, so the rest of us broke out the non M7 videos. There were 3 Brigs there, two of whom had never seen Tony's "Inferno" so that went on one VCR while some of the Vixens feasted their eyes on tapes of Eric in McKenna and Dark Skies.
When the gang was back together again, we held a raffle for the two Vin bears. The ATF bear was won by Winter and Rick won the OW bear.
We called for the shuttle again and headed for Bugaboo Creek Steak House (no vegetarians in our group!), where we were having such a great time in the bar that I don't think anyone noticed that we waited almost two hours for a table!
Michele had brought a photo of Les Moonves, and we had set up a dartboard in his honor. After dinner, we had a dart contest for the Denver door prize, the winner being whoever came closest to poking his eyes out. The contestants were cheered on with reminders that Les had taken Our Boys from us. The Vixens were provided added incentive when recalling that he also canceled Now and Again. Booo. Hiss.
Chris won the door prize, managing to lodge a dart in Les's evil right eye, although Carla was accorded a round of applause for striking his cold black heart and Joy was cheered for getting his jugular vein.
Then, more M7 and a game of Trivial Pursuit, which was won by the team of Rick and Peggy at around 1:30 am.
