Yesterday was a day I will not soon forget. I spent the majority of it with a new friend whom I met online.
I had told her that I would bring over a T.V. and VCR and a few movies. After all, who wants to be deprived of absolute capitolism?

Anyhow, I arrived earlier than I had planned. She seemed a bit ruffled at first since she was still in the process of cleaning her house. However I told her time and time again that her apartment was one-hundred percent cleaner than mine.

At first glance of her apartment I came to the appropriate conclusion that she had a very esoteric mind. Her book collection was astoundingly eclectic like none I had ever seen at a friends' house.

While she modestly bowed out to take a shower I selected "The Satanic Witch" by Anton Svander Lavey (sp). Very interesting content compared to his "The Satanic Bible."

According to my interpretation Lavey's "The Satanic Witch," the self is composed of three parts or layers. The first layer is the apparent layer which everyone sees on a daily basis. This is the part of you which you involuntarily allow others to see. The second layer is the true self. The true self being what you  express towards others in the form of opinion and such. It is a portion of you which makes you different from others. The next layer is a inversive reflection of the first layer. Your alter ego which you hide from others. The suggestive, "alter ego."  I believe Lavey referred to it as one's unnatural side.

Ater she got out of her shower we talked for a few hours with some long pauses in between our conversation. We discussed seemingly everything from psychology to music to the drug culture to Hunter S. Thompson. However when one discusses Hunter S. Thompson music, drugs and psychology come into play.

She soon suggested that we retreat to the outdoors to escape the sulleness of being inside on a nice midwestern day. Nice weather for the most part is atypical for this region.

With a name like the Bible Belt I wouldn't think it would be hot as hell here on a daily basis.

We ended up outside of a small coffeehouse. For several hours we talked. However for the most part we mutually agreed that just watching people go by was entertainment enough. I realized by watching teenagers come by that they seem prepubescent. Not merely in the way they talk but in they way they appear to me and how they carry themselves. It's almost as though they are trying to cover up their fear. However it is apparent to me that they are uncomfortable being so young and unknowledgable. And perhaps they may not know how young they are but their brains are not fully developed and they are unsure how to perceive reality.

Shortly before we returned to her apartment she decided to do a Tarot reading for me. Very fascinating.
She read three cards which I drew from a fanned out deck. My past was full of active thinking but not physical action. My present card read that I was in a state of transition which will have positive results. My future card was that of a knight. My future card read that I will blindly yet courageously venture somewhere either physically or mentally.

I could go on about the rest of the Tarot reading but it wouldn't do you any good. It would merely be here for a reminder for me. A reminder of something which I will not soon forget.

Anyhow, after night rose we returned to her apartment and watched Pi. I did not pay close attention to it the first time I watched it. However, I strongly suggest this movie.

I must get going now. My ramen noodles are burning.
