Instructions
for using GLORY Maps
The maps need to
be converted from a text file to a .mis (mission file) We suggest that before
you start you read the instructions through completely. You may want to perform
a step mulitple time on all of the files at once when you understand the process.
Here is
a short overview for you more savvy users...
Open the file in
the browser
Copy the text and
past in NOTEPAD
Save the file and
convert it to a .mis file extension
Copy the file to
the Rainbow Six folder
C:/Program Files/Red Storm Entertainment/Tom
Clancys Rainbow Six/Data/Mission
Here is the
detailed, step-by-step instructions
Complete the following
step for each map:
- Open the link
- Capture the
text on the page
- Highlight
the text and copy to your clipboard
- Hold
your CONTROL
KEY down and press and release the C
key
- Open NOTEPAD
(Start, Accessories, Notepad)
- Paste the
text into a blank NOTEPAD page
- Hold
your CONTROL
KEY down and press and release the V
Key
- Save the file
- Create a
new folder on your desktop called TEMP
- Right
Click on the desktop and choose NEW || FOLDER
- Name
the folder TEMP
- If
you miss the chance to rename it, highlight it and press F2
to
rename it
- Back
in NOTEPAD, save the file in the new folder.
- Change the file
type to .mis for the game
- Open the
folder and highlight the file
- Press F2
and rename the .txt extension to .mis
- A message
asking if you want to change the file type will come up, PRESS YES
- Repeat this
process for all maps
- When you have
completed, copy all of the files in the folder
- Highlight
all of the files in the folder
- Click on
the first
- Hold your
SHIFT
key
- Click on
the last file
- Hold your
CONTROL KEY
down and press and release the C
key
- Open the
folder to paste the files in the folder
- The path
is:
C:/Program Files/Red Storm Entertainment/Tom
Clancys Rainbow Six/Data/Mission
- Hold your
CONTROL
KEY down and press and release the V
Key
- Open the
game on GAMESPY and test for the new maps.
