    Aira is a very caring, gental young woman, whom everyone seems to want Aira for their own purposes.  The Hazard wants her for her mysterious telepathic abilities.  The Rodoists want her because she is a chosen person of their diety.  The Holy Mother wants her to become a Pilar of Rodo.  [To say more about this will give a spoiler to the film].
    Aira was a child when the Hazard found Aira at the abandoned ruins of Gunkanjima, a place even the Rodoist Soldiers do not travel to.  There is an abundant supply of cool water and medical herbs at this ruins.  Sometimes while visiting this shrine, Aira has visions.  Aira does not have bad feelings towards the Rodoist soldiers.  She instinctively avoids any kind of contact with Rodoist Bishops and priests.
Aira is known as the "silver hair maiden" by the Rodoist Bishops.
There are so many pictures of her here, you may thing this is a shrine to her (and it might as well be).
