Marcos Valle


Marcos Valle was born in Rio in 1943. He studied classical music as a child, but was strongly influenced by his native Brazilian music. He began writing songs as a young child, and became one of Brazil's leading composers by the age of 19.

In 1964, he released his first album, Samba Doemais. A tour with Sergio mendes and Brasil '65 brought him business in the U.S.
In 1966, his song "So Nice" was in the US Top 40.

The rock'n roll influenced tropicalists, and Valle as well. He moved away from native Brazilian Samba, and into rock (groove and funk)

He moved to the U.S in 1975. He wrote and arranged tracks fo famous artists, such as Chicago.
