Sergio Mendes

Sergio mendes was born on 11 February, 1941, in Niteroi, Brazil.
He is a pianist, composer, and a band leader of his own quintet. He founded the band, Brazil 65.

In the late 60's, they released a series of US chart albums, and became popular world wide.

In 1990, he received an excellent revies for the album, "Mas Que nada".
The album "Brasileiro" won the grammy award for the best world music.
