Craig's Custom Barbecue Smoker

This Smoker is made out of 12 ga. (1/8") stainless steel. The fire box is 24" x 24" x 18". The cooking chamber is 24" x 60" x 24". With two 14" tall x 24"  wide doors. It also has a 4" diameter Chimney.

Here is the preliminary design for the smoker. As you can see by the photos below the final product is pretty much the same.

The photos below are just after I tested it to see of it could hold temperature and to season it. The smoker was run at 400 degrees for 2 hours, then the temperature was dropped to the smoking temperature of 250 degrees for 4 hours, then again the temperature was brought up to 400 degrees  till the wood  was burned up.

I choose not to grind & polish the welds. But if I wanted to I can clean this up to look pretty. I did straighten out the warped door.

Front view of the Smoker, You can see my old smoker to the left
The doors on the cooking chamber are really 14" high, 24" wide and 6" deep
The Door latch is being moved to the middle and the door is getting some re-inforcing to prevent warping.
But this is a good view of the firebox damper to control temperature. And the ash removal drawer.
This is the rear view. The gold color on the fire box is un-avoidable. It's what happens when you heat up stainless steel. Again you can see my old smoker in the back round for size comparison

I work for a Custom stainless steel kitchen equipment manufacturer. I Designed the smoker at work on Auto cad 2000, and the Shop built it for me. I was wanting to build it myself but I caught the shop at a slow time and they built it for me.

This smoker was custom built for me but if you were willing to pay for one, I'm sure my shop would build one for you.
