BlueJayFan.com Launcher is a program written by Richard A. Bish, the maker of Quick Browser, exclusively for the BlueJayFan.com website. It is based on Quick Browser, and gives the user easy access to BlueJayFan.com - the website for every Toronto Blue Jays fan. The copyright info can be found on the About screen.
You must have either Windows 95, 98, or NT 4 to run BlueJayFan.com Launcher. The only other requirements are that you have a default web browser (the one that's registered as the default association for "html" documents in Windows Explorer), and the MFC runtime DLLs. Your system probably already has these DLL files, but if not, you can download them from Microsoft or Winfiles.
Chances are, if you're reading this you already have BlueJayFan.com Launcher. If you don't, you can download it in zip format from the BlueJayFan.com website. To unzip the file, get a utility such as WinZip.
Installation is very simple. Just extract the bjlaunch.exe and bjlaunch.htm (this document) files from the BlueJayFan.com Launcher zip file to the desired directory, and then opening bjlaunch.exe will run the program.
When BlueJayFan.com Launcher is opened, it puts an icon in the system tray. The first time you run BlueJayFan.com Launcher, it'll ask you if you want a shortcut to it placed in your Start menu Startup folder. This is suggested; it'll automatically run BlueJayFan.com Launcher when you start Windows, so you won't have to manually run the program yourself. When the user double-clicks the icon, it opens the default browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.) to the BlueJayFan.com website.
The tray icon is home plate with the letters BJF in dark blue. Well, at least it's supposed to be.
You can simply uninstall BlueJayFan.com Launcher by deleting the bjlaunch.exe and bjlaunch.htm files along with any shortcuts to the program on your system.
