BENJAMIN HENDRICK
REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER


Benjamin Hendrick served with Major Lloyd during the Revolutionary War but died before filing for a pension.

1) Roster of Rev. War Soldiers in South Carolina (or Roster of S.C. Patriots in the American Revolution) see under Richard Graves, the nephew or cousin of Rachel Graves Hendrick. Capt. Benjamin Hendrick was under Major Lloyd c1779-80.

2) John Blakeney,  Jr. at age 18 in 1776 tells he served two months under Captain Hendrick's in Col. Benton's regiment, (in which his father had a company).

However, Capt. Benjamin Hendrick died Mar 1818 in Chesterfield Co., SC before applying for a pension (b.3 Jun 1730 Hanover Co., VA son of William Hendrick of King William Co. & Hanover Co., Va). Capt. Benjamin Hendrick m. 16 Oct 1750 to Rachel Graves who descended from Capt. Thomas Graves who sailed from England to America in the 2d Supply 1607/08 on the Mary & Margaret to Jamestown, VA. Rachel had two direct ancestors on that vessel; Thomas Graves & Raleigh Croshaw.
