Grandma's Quilts
photos ~ page three

A Friendship Fan quilt which my great-aunt Clara Swank made for my mother, Christa Cooper, in 1987. Don't bother trying to figure out the family tree--just enjoy the hard work put into this happy quilt!

This Flying Geese quilt was made by my grandmother, Helen Thompson, for herself. I think it's great she made one to use around her house, as she's made so many for her daughters and grandchildren. We're not sure of the year on this one, though.

One of the benefits of being the first granddaughter born was another Flying Geese quilt--with some nice embroidery, too! Helen Thompson made this for me shortly after I was born in 1961.

A Log Cabin wallhanging Helen Thompson made for my cousin Sandy Dorsey. Not sure of the year on this one, either, although it was probably early 1980s.
