CHARACTER RACES & NAMES:

There are no non-human Player Character races. No elves, no dwarves, no halflings, etc. However, Conan's world is one full of diverse human peoples, so there is plenty of flavour to add to your character based off of their ethnicity and nationality. Below is a list of human races from across the Thurian Continent – notice the parallels that can be made to our own earth cultures.

Humans still get, per the 3E rules, an extra 4 skill points at 1st level, an extra skill point for each level afterward, and a bonus feat at first level. Humans may have starting ability scores greater than 18 if modified by a racial ability modifier. Most NPCs in the world do not have a stat greater than 14. Having a 16 or better stat puts you head and shoulders above your peers, and a score of 18 or better makes you one of the most notable in your city/region. Scores of 20 or better are genuinely superhuman, and there is likely no more than one or two of you equal in an entire kingdom, as far as that attribute goes.
