THE FICTION

The early 80s were a strange time in Corncob County, a thriving municipality just north of Ettalanna. With glue and paste controlled substances, drug dealers ran the schools, selling everything from illicit cinnamon toothpicks to aerosol sprays to pounds and pounds of homebrewed adhesives.

Into this violent world came students mysteriously granted powers not altogether unlike those of their comic book heroes. Within months, the drug regime of Sniffin Middle came to an end, but it left behind a legacy of corruption, nastiness and evil, not to mention the occasional supervillain, robot or giant frog.

By 1987, Corncob County was full of costumed heroes, and none were more famous than Scandal High's GMS Legion, comprised of some of the original costumed adventurers. As they prepare for SATs and colleges prepared for an onrush of crimefighters who wanted good jobs one day, their lives became celebrated and threatened, their romances were wondrous and painful, and their futures were both bright and dark.
