However, as he is climbing over the fence, he is struck by lightening. Soon, it is discovered that he now has a healing touch. The warden asks Eric to cure his daughters blindness and in exchange he will try to get his life sentence destroyed. Eric restores the child's eyesight but the warden is unable to turn the charge and he is killed in the chair. The story culminates with all the inmates whom he had healed touching him, bringing him back to life

Commentary

The only problem with this episode is that it is too darn short. The story just moves along too quickly and doesn't allow the viewer to experience some of the interesting concepts. Once again, prison  proves to be a cinematographer and lighting directors best friend.  The whole concept turned oput a pretty interesting ful length feature years later (The Green Mile)

How Amazing?
