Summary

A weak nebbish escapes from his nagging wife, annoying kids, neighborhood dogs and dead end job by surrounding himself with television. To get money for a new dress, the wife sells that same television. He leaves the house to be alone and finds himself at a magical appliance store where the salesman gives him the top of the line TV model with a special remote control. With the TV restored, he continues his normal life until his wife threatens to destroy the new television. He uses the remote to shut it off but instead, his wife is replaced by a beauty contestant from the television. His bratty kids and obnoxious people in his life become his heroes. But, will this keep him happy? In the end, life is restored to 'normal.'

Commentary

Bob Clark, who brought us the wonderful "A Christmas Story" now brings us this horribly tired piece of third rate television. Although the many celebs seems to add star quality, it only comes across as a collection of 'has-beens' and thus the episode worsens with age.

How Amazing?
Uncomfortable to watch.  Awkward.
