Summary

A detailed plane-crash nightmare sends a man on a misguided mission to prevent the nightmare from coming true. When he arrives at the airport in his pajamas (it's 2 in the morning) and begins to see the people who were ghosts in his dream he becomes frantic. Airport police take him away, and while they're driving him the plane begins its take-off... A drunk pilot has mistakenly taken his private plane toward the same runway... The prisoner forcefully takes control of the airport police vehicle and rams the private plane, preventing the accident.

Commentary

This high concept story is probably most interesting in the lack of dialogue. The presentation of plane crash wreckage is eerily impressive even if it resembles the 'Ghost Train' wreckage. Reynolds (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) smartly identifies images and sounds that can be used in both reality and dream world and marries it well with silence and Fiedel minimalist musical score. Durning gives respect to the role.
