Postcards from China

This series of postcards derives from the album Old
Houses --
Traditional Chinese Dwellings of the Huizhou Style published by Jiangsu
Publishing House of Fine Arts. Distributed over the South of Anhui and the
Northeast of Jiangxi, the remaining domestic dwellings of Hui
style were mostly established in the
Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Simple walls and blue tiles, courtyards and delicate bricks,
wood and stone carvings, all combine to form a peculiar
branch of Chinese traditional
dwelling, attracting attention
from both domestic and foreign experts and tourists.
