" I thank Dr J. V. M. for his noble intentions in relation to the publishing question: that I be paid the copyright. This seems to me magnificent, but in the name of truth I have said one thing: I have never demanded such rights. I have written more that seventy works... [applause] My fingers, as you can see, are almost totally destroyed, and I will continue writing books, and the day when my fingers will have become useless from so much hitting the keyboard, the typewriter, I will rehearse with my toes... [applause]
At this moment in time, my dear brethren, and for ever, I renounce and have renounced and will keep renouncing the copyright. All I want is that those books be sold in a cheap form, within the reach of all who suffer and cry... [applause] That the most unhappy citizen be able to get that book with the few pennies he may carry in his purse. That is all... [applause]
In reality, truly, I have no income. I do not demand anything for my works. Whoever wants to publish them, let him publish them for the good of all the grieving humankind... [applause]
My brethren, neither do I demand, nor do intend ever to demand, a salary at all. In the Republic of El Salvador, a salary was allocated to the VM G. K. and to this person, me, who is worthless, because I do not give a penny for my person, but in reality, truly, I do not want such a salary. I am a beggar in a dinner jacket, and I live from the public's alms! [applause]
I am only interested in carrying these teachings to all corners of the world, without distinction of race, sex, creed, caste, or colour; that the whole of humanity may receive the doctrine. That is all... [applause] Inverential Peace! " p. 2341
