Have you kept up with the news lately? Seeing all the homicide bombings in Israel and various other countries? Does it seem like things have gotten very scary, very quickly, and the innocence we once lived in no longer exists? Me too. :-) But I have some good news for you, if you are interested... I'd like to introduce you to someone who can take that fear and turn it into peace. His name is Jesus Christ, I'm sure you've heard of Him, but maybe you have never really thought much about Him or what He did for us. What did He do for us you ask? Well simply put, Jesus took all of our sins upon Himself, and died in our place, so that when we die, we could be with Him in Heaven for all eternity. Genesis chapter1-3 Tells the story of the creation of earth, and of mankind. We are all familiar with the story of Adam and Eve, and how the serpent tempted Eve to eat of the fruit of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil and then Adam ate from it as well. Because Adam ate, sin entered the world. Because sin entered the world, everyone who was born after Adam and Eve (all of us) were born sinful. Romans 3:23 says: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 says: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. In the Old Testament people had to sacrifice animals to receive forgivness of their sins. When Jesus came there was a New Testament. Jesus became the one and final sacrifice for our sins, taking our place on the cross because He loved us that much. We no longer have to sacrifice animals to be forgiven, all we need do is confess our sins, and ask Jesus into our hearts to be Lord of our lives, and mean it with all your heart, and you are saved eternally! Welcome to the family :-) Guess what? There is even more in store for us, ever heard of the Rapture? Well I am working on another page that deals with the Pre-Trib Rapture, and how we are so very close to it. So please bear with me, as I get that page ready. |
