CLAIRE:

First support was an ANU girl called Claire. Chic with guitar, beautiful songs and gorgeous voice. Elle thought she was reminiscent vocally of katie noonan from george, personally I was going more with jewel. Either way, I loved her. Kind of like a female bernie hayes? She only played about four songs unfortunately. I could have listened to her all night.

TEN HORSE FOUNDATION:

Another ANU band. lazy susan had let the venue select the supports, which I reckon is a great way for local bands to get exposure... if you can call it that with this crowd...

These guys were guitar rock, more on the heavy side than the poppy side. Probably not one of my favourite canberra bands, but not bad.

LAZY SUSAN:

Lazy susan had a huge turnout. Apart from the thirty-odd people sitting waaaaaaaay up the back watching big brother on the tv behind the dance area, there were all ten of us actually up the front. Most of whom had roadtripped from sydney.

This is another "I wasn't really sure before I came" review... well, they're kind of like the lucksmiths, and I wasn't blown away by the lucksmiths live, so I had my reservations. But these guys were better than ordinary. Very fun, very danceable.

no really outstanding features that need to be mentioned, if you know what lazy susan sound like, you can pretty much imagine what they'd be like live. fun, and bouncy, and it would have been great to see how they work a crowd, because i reckon they'd do it well.

hopefully they weren't too put off by the lack of audience, because i'd love to see them again.
