| I am a student of English literature and linguistics at the University of Vienna, Austria. Currently, I'm doing a seminar about "The sociolinguistics of L2 countries", which means that we are interested in the attitudes and everyday use in countries where English is the second official language. Each participant has to find out about a country of their choice, and since I have the honour of having a number of very good friends from Botswana -which is an L2 country- I decided to conduct my specific investigation about the use of English in the educational system in Botswana. The aim is to find out how people think about the use of English and Setswana in their educational system. The more people participate in it, the more representative the outcome will be - so if you know anyone who would be willing to fill in the form, just send them here! The survey is absolutely anonymous and will be evaluated for scientific purposes only! The results of this investigation will be posted here by the end of January 2006. |
