OMAHA, Neb. -- According to her own song lyrics, she's not that innocent, but some Omaha moms were still surprised to read about the latest Britney Spears tour.
Tracy Neidig and Lisa Kruntorad bought tickets for Spears' concert Wednesday at the Qwest Center Omaha. They said they thought it would be fun to take their 8-year-old daughters to see a performer the girls have liked since they were preschoolers.
"Some of her antics lately have been a little questionable, but we were hoping for something along the line of a PG-type show," Kruntorad told television station KETV.
Then the moms read Sunday's paper previewing the concert: "an R-rated raunchfest with simulated sex and other risque stage antics," it said. The moms decided this concert may not be appropriate for the girls.
"I mean, you have a vision of what a raunchfest is," said Kruntorad. "Oh my goodness!"
The girls are disappointed and the families may be stuck with their nonrefundable tickets. The show is not sold out, so hopes to sell the tickets for face value are fading in Neidig's and Kruntorad's minds.
Qwest Center sales and marketing director said he's discussing the possibility of rating concerts like movies with some concert promoters.
