Yes, you CAN tell them apart

George Lucas' "Attack of the Clones" was make-believe. This attack is as real as the radio in your car, the TV in your den and the People magazine on your nightstand.

The reigning princesses of Planet Pop, music and culture alike, are three faux blond divas of virtually identical age, size, background and pulchritude.

Their relationship — their rivalry, even — has lasted half of their lives, extending to the 1992 auditions for Disney's revival of "The Mickey Mouse Club Show."

Two made the cut. One didn't; she's been playing catch-up ever since.

Eleven years later, those three young women are still locked by fate and coincidence into a feverish, sometimes acrimonious, competition to earn your money and attention.

Britney, Christina and Jessica.

Star wars indeed.
