I've No Spears Types Oops, She's Hid It Again
Britney's fury over photos showing her bulging tum
By Julia Hunt
BRITNEY SPEARS has been stung by claims she piled on the beef by bingeing
on junk food and drink.
Friends say the singer was embarrassed by pictures in an American magazine which appeared to show her belly spilling over her tight jeans.
The National Enquirer claims Britney who played two sell-out gigs in Glasgow last week has agreed to pose topless for Playboy but that she must shed 20lb before magazine owner Hugh Hefner OKs the multi-million dollar deal.
But this dig is just this latest in a long line of lies being spun about the pop princess.
Ever since she split with Justin Timberlake, Britney has been hit by taunts that she has beefed up through high calorie comfort eating.
However, as our pictures reveal, her 'podge' is just the result of unflattering clothes and bad photos.
A shot of Britney performing live on US show On Air With Ryan Seacrest in February has been used to illustrate how 'big' she has become. Yet we checked out all the shots from that same show
and Britney looked toned and trim. At her brother Bryan's birthday party last month she was snapped sitting in a car revealing a roll of flab around her belly. This disappeared instantly once she stood up straight.
Likewise she has been spotted letting it all hang out as she delved into a box of chocolates on an American TV show.
But when she ditches the tight trousers for a skimpy bikini she appears toned and curvy. The fact that she's small, with legs a little on the short side, makes her appear squat and bottom-heavy in photographs.
Britney bashers have claimed she has been over-indulging because her confidence has dropped after running into her ex, Justin Timberlake, with new love Cameron Diaz after a show.
Bobby Strom, a Hollywood personal trainer who has worked with Britney said: 'I believe she does like her junk food sometimes. She's not a health nut but she does exercise. She burns so many calories from working out.
'At 22 she is right at the pinnacle point where she could just change a couple of things and really change her body or she could have a cheeseburger here or there and not worry.'
Britney's latest shows may have shocked some younger members of the audience but they impressed Hugh Hefner.
A nude shoot with Playboy could be the final part in Britney's transformation from clean--cut teen to sexy bad girl. A music insider said: 'Britney looks good on stage and doesn't stop for a minute from the moment she comes on.
'She's doing such energetic dance moves there's no way she could keep this up for a whole tour if she was a waif. A tour is the whole show, dancing, music and costume changes, Britney is a professional who gives that, not a skinny model who stands there looking pretty.'
Maybe Britney should take those imaginary 20 pounds and tell Playboy where
to stick them.
