Iraq Fights Back By Mike Nursey You might be surprised to know that America has wargamed an invasion of Iraq. Of course it wasn't Iraq they were fighting, the 'enemy' was an Islamic state in the Persian Gulf, ruled by a mad dictator.!!!! His place was taken by a retired US Marine Colonel. By clever use of his forces he managed to sink several US warships and caught the Marines on the beaches killing thousands. The game was stopped. The referees ruled he wasn't playing fair. All the ships and marines were brought back to life. The referees stopped the 'colonel' using his air defence systems when the US attacked, and made him move all his forces away from the US landing zones. He then refused to play further. I believe the North Vietmenese used to not play fair either. The only difference being that the Americans couldn't bring their forces back to life.!!!! Thought for the day: England's finest example of Norman archetecture, smashed up by a man wielding an axe. Can only be the return of the Saxon Huscarls.????
