Postcards From the Edge
By Jon Blyth
I know we all live in a world where technology is advancing faster than
a Russian tank-commander with a "Drink All You Can a the Berlin Bierkeller"
voucher.
And yes, I accept that people are leading rush-rush lives that leave
them busier than Mussolini's medal-maker.
But for gods' sake - I wish could people on E-bay could take a couple
of minutes to correct their errors.
Here's a nice selection of goodies I've seen recently
- "Dwarf slater unit" (slate miners?)
"17 High Elf arches" (nice architecture)
"models in mitt condition" (gloves attached?)
"Dwarf gyrochopter" (don't walk near the rotor blades!)
"7 metal sink cold one riders" (great mental picture of this
one)
Or, for the more historically-based of you there's
- "Phallanx of pikemen" (sounds a bit rude to me)
"British infantrys" (for beating the Frenchs I suppose)
"15mm arges or Israile figs" (???)
"1/100th scale helicorters - compleate kit"
Now all of the above could conceivably be down to simple typo's. I'm
having more trouble with the following
- "Skeleon Horde - 18 plastic figure some need are regluing on."
"I'm sellin them anyway because there all elfs."
"Box set. Missing 3 figures otherwise in tact."
And to finish with, perfect English but
- "Pro painted to reasonable standard."
Answers on a postcard?
