Time Commandersby Mike NurseyWell, its an improvement on 'A Game Of War'. But only just. Why do they get people who have no knowledge whatsoever to take control of an army, show them things such as Testudo, and then criticise them when they do exactly that in front of loads of hairy Celts. The result is predictable. The show actually turned down people with the know-how to get 'families'. Although, I'm not sure what the lot from a stately home were doing. The game engine looks impressive, but for the choreographed elephants and horses, and the ability for multiple charges by a unit of cavalry. It was usually one long and if you were very lucky two short charges, eg into a flank or rear. Still entertaining, and what else do we wargamers get on TV. Even Buffy has finished.!!!!! |
