Mine's a Broadsword, Pump Action Shotgun, AK47 etcby Mike NurseyLeon Humphrey's ("who?" you cry), made legal history this week*. He told the DVLA that his car was off road. They never got the letter, so they fined him for not having a tax disc. He went to court, and when asked how to plead, he said that he didn't need to plead as he wanted his right to TRIAL BY COMBAT, which he claims was still on the statute books. There is no plea entered on the theory that if you're innocent you win, because good always wins over evil, (yeah, right). Shocked magistrates didn't know what to do, but entered an innocent plea, (could be a ploy). Anyway, this means the DVLA now have to put up a champion to fight Mr Humphrey's, (I'm free Mrs Slocombe). Mr Humphrey's intends to fight to the death, and being sixty, that might not be very long! No one form the DVLA was available for comment, but a local plumbing firm were inundated with calls to unblock the DVLA's toilets, when word got around that some poor b****d would have to go out and fight to the death some crazed motorist with a sword! Whether or not ye old Mrs Slocombe will bring her pussy to cheer him on was not mentioned! (*Daily Mirror Saturday November 2nd) |
