There is no animal that has had a greater impact on my life than this one. In the spring of 1994, when I was eight, he changed my life forever. I stumbled upon a horse race on TV...the 1994 San Rafael Stakes. The winner was this guy. I watched the Santa Anita Derby, and there he was again, this time running second. The Kentucky Derby was next, and for the first time my new favorite horse's name wasn't among the top three called at the wire. He won his next two starts, and I was hooked for life. I've had few happier moments than meeting the horse that changed my life. I will never forget the hour I spent with him. I would never trade the opportunity I had to whisper two important words to him..."Thank you."
