Well my week so far has been more fun then a barrel of ebola infected monkeys!

Over the weekend, I noticed that in addition to the fact that my ears hurt, I really couldn't seem to hear out of one of them.  I like being able to hear, it makes life much simpler.  So on Monday, I went to the Health Center.  The health Center is not where I'd want to be treated if I had a serious medical problem, but it does fine for things like bronchitis (which is a regular epidemic at this school).  So according to my blood pressure, I should be dead, for some reason 98/53 is considered a little low.  I've always had low blood pressure, it's why my hands and feet are always so cold.  But, I'm alive, and don't seem to have gained or lost significant weight since last year.    For some reason before even looking at my ears, the nurse asked if i was over my stomach problem that had bought me in the
previous year.  I had food posioning or something, and they kept asking me if I was preganant.  So I told her that the pain went away after a few days, and if it had kept up I would have taken a cab to the hospital and not gone back to them.  Well, I left out the last part, because the nurse scared me.  Anyways, I have a infection in my ear canal, so for the rest of the week I get to put nasty ear drops in 4 times a day, and continue screaming in pain whenever my ears are touched.  I'm thinking that i'm going to complain about my wrist when I go back for my follow-up, it's not something I'd go to a doctor about, but f I'm already going to be there might as well get my moneys worth.

More school fun today.  I was supposed to do my American Literature presentation today in class.  However it's on PowerPoint, and the College of Business won't let anyone from the English Dept. use their machines.  SO on Thursday, I get to carry a computer projector and computer from the main buliding to the Starship Enterprise and do my presentation.  It's a good slide show, and I don't think that compared to the people who went today that I'll totally crash and burn.

I hate this school's adminstration with the passion of a
million burning suns.  I had a form to file by tomorrow, it had to be signed by my advisor.  I only found out that I would need to get this done a few days ago.  Since my advisor isn't here on Mondays, I managed to hunt her down today.  She's impossible to find, and totally clueless about anything not related to J board.  I doubt that shes even ever seen a student handbook.  So I go in and ask her to sign the form.  It turns out that the advising office changed my advisor, not that they told me about it or anything.  I don't ask for much, maybe just a note, "Hey, we changed your advisor from Smiley McCrackhead to Pompous McAss"  It's not that hard, they send notes out for far more trival things *cough* soroity nights *cough*.  So I found the new advsors office, but he didn't have office hours for a while yet.  So I went back to my room, put in my ear drops, muttered (well, not really muttered as much as screamed) inapproipate language.  Then at 5 I walked back over to his office.  I'd never even heard off much less seen the new advisor, and he had to go though his filing cabinet to see if I even exsisted in the eyes of the University.  I did get the form signed and dropped off, so I'm all caught up on paperwork until registration hopefully.  The funny thing is that because of my major change, (paperwork filed last week) I'll probaly have a new advisor next semester, and smart money is that they won't tell me about that either.

Wow, se this is daily life.  It's not all sunshine, lollypops, and roses.  It's quite often paperwork, annoying roommates, and bad food.  I'll be funny later or something.
