Yippie!  This crapppy month is over in less then two hours.  Unfornatly, I have celebrate the first day of October by going to an 8:30 class.  Boo.

I don't have much of anything to say, since my main activity  has been being bored.  I tried to make Saag Chole last night.  Bad, bad idea.  I get my Indian food nice and packaged from Trader Joe's, the hardest part should be cooking the rice, and any idiot can cook rice.  Normally, I would cook the rice in my hot pot and microwave the lentils (or in this case spinach and chickpeas).  It's damm tasty, and convient too.  However, I don't have a microwave, and people next door weren't there so I could beg theirs.  Well, according to the directions, it was possible to cook the package by submerging it in boiling water for 5 minutes.  So I made my rice, and added some more water for the package.  You see my hotpot is on the small side, it's more of an electric teakettle, but I use it for everything.  The package didn't quite fit in, but I figured no problem, just leave it in a minute or so longer.  After the time is up I pick up the pot to go drain out the water.  Oww!  Hot!  I managed to get boiling water on my hands and pants.  I have a lovely scald mark on the inside of my thumbs now.  So I decided that it would be easier to drain off some water and then take out the package.  Something in the heat and the fact the container was a bit small, made the package split open at the corner.  Let me tell you that nothing escapes faster then spinach and chickpeas.  Long story somewhat shorted, all of my food was in the water, and my hands were tingly in a bad way.  I managed to drain off most of the water (and enough spianch to block the drain).  I did get my meal, but it was waterey and more of a tasty gruel.  So folks, next time that you're trying to cook with only a hotpot, be careful.  Or get a microwave, they can be quite useful.

Man, I'm hungry after telling that whole story about food.  I think I'm going to go make rice.  Cause, I'm a Survivor.
