Brent Gagne Wins a Caution filled Race at Loudon!

Congratulations on your 1st win of the season Brent!  Tell us how it feels to grab that 1st win?

wow!!!..I still can't believe how the race--the car---the set-up handled this race...I'm still amazed on how great the car was. I'm still in awe over it.

On lap 137, you and Steve Flinn had a incident take place. Excuse me for asking, but it reminded us of last year’s Winston Cup finish between Jeff Gordon, and Robby Gordon. Can you tell us about that incident?  Your feelings?

You know???  your right...kinda is like the race last year, the laps remaining...the weather...the track...the positions to be had...etc, and even in the same corner too!! BUT I will say that I was on the throttle to take to the inside and out of 4…that was my plan...however...Steven was not back on the throttle before me...and that was what got me into him...I slammed on the brakes...it was too late...I will say it was a racing deal...I WILL NOT SAY that Steven has spun someone out before in another race so he could win....that just isn't true. We were both battleing for the same piece of realestate...and lets face it...1st place pays more, We both wanted it bad, I just got back into the throttle to soon...my car was on a rail…I was on a mission...I had found Steven's weak part of his car, the track, and corner from laps before in the race...I knew I could pass him clean on the inside but I needed a run on him. I just anticipated his throttle-down time to soon, and when your 0.2 behind someone...your gonna bump...that's physics,  thats racing. To Steven...I'm sorry…I didn't want to win this race ...that way

On the restart with 10 laps to go, Were you nervous, or cool as a cucumber?  LOL

Um..well...lets just say i didn't need to consume any high energy drinks..lolol

Which groove/line worked best for you, running high or low?

Loudon is a one groove race track... you need to keep it down on the line.you can run on the outside..but it will cost you time and position getting out of the corner.you also need to be real loose (opinions may vary on this one...lololol  ) at the start and work the car hard..heat those tires up..and then let the rear of the car work for you,and not against you..pays off on long green runs...RF tire will thank you for it in a faster car over the long haul when other cars have no RF left on the rim.

Don Young has proven week in, and week out he is a driver that is always there in the end. Seeing him in your rear view mirror with 10 to go.  What was Brent Gagne thinking?

Oh just wonderfull...this is all I need now....if there was 5 more laps (15)I would have been eatin up and left for second.

It’s been said this track is like a giant Martinsville with long straightaways.  Agree or disagee?

 Yes..agreed

Next track SORS East heads to is Pocono Raceway?  Strong or weak track for yourself?

I will not be there for that race...limited race funds has required me to be out of state searching for sponsorship deals in WI during an air show  :>)

2nd top 3 finish in last 3 races now!  What do you have to do for the reminder of the season for you to be happy with your performance?

Keep doing top 5's top 3's ..and a win or two will help.

Brent, Congratulations on 1st win here at Loudon, NH. You definitely had a strong car today, and thank you for taking the time to chat with us today.  Anything you’d like to say before we sign off?

Look foward to Indy when I return from Oshkosh WI. to keep this momentum going
