Death/Scar Matches

Death and Scar Matches:

Death Match Rules
Proctoring

Death Matches must be proctored and logged by a neutral third party (it is also always advised to keep a log of your own to ensure no loss of information. The proctor is the one who must send the log of the match to the validator for approval. The responsibilities in proctoring a death match are great, so take care in what you do and double check and correct if a mistake is made. A registration is not required to proctor a Death Match, however it must be done properly so be sure you know what your doing before you do. Neither experience nor gold will be counted by auditor without a validation receipt, so be certain everything id done properly.

The loser of the death match has 24 mun hours to receive a valid forum resserection before they are declared permanently dead in GoD.

Enhancer's Three enhancer's are allowed as usual; attack and/or defense as well as elementals. Examples of approved formats for enhancer use are 1 attack, 2 defense/ 1 defense, 2 attacks/ or 1 attack 1 elemental, 1 defense 1 elemental. For the additional damage of the enhancer to count you must RP out the enhancer in your attack including enhancer name or it will be invalid. A slip proving the issue of enhancer's should be sent to the proctor for validation as well. Since the enhancer registration number is listed when you list enhancer's in the beginning of the match, then there is no need to list this again when playing out the enhancer.

Declining and Illegalities As with all things ultimately the character is yours and until the time a Death Match begins meaning you may choose to decline the match, but once it is started you are committed and there is no turning back. Standard hit points are 250 unless dice are under 60 then they are to 80. If two d20's fight they fight to 20. These can, of course, be altered in the terms to any hp amount you want so long as it is CLEARLY stated. If either combatant's dice are found to be illegal the DM is invalid. That's all there is to it, no discussion. If either combatant or the proc did not insure the validity of dice claimed then everyone is responsible for the shortfall, in turn no one involved will be awarded experience or gold.

Scar Match Rules:

As a Scar Match is basically the same thing as a Death Match with only a few differences, they will be proctored the same way. A Scar Match will also fall under the same rules for validation as a Death Match. Meaning there will be a neutral proc, two combatants, and two witnesses. This is to help insure that loser follows through with the acknowledgement of Scar Inflicted.

With a scar match up to two enhancer's may be used if agreed upon in terms.Elementals may be allowed if agreed to in terms. Should a combatant choose to use an elemental that will be the only enhancer they are allowed and must start before match begins if it is for Attack or Defense.Enhancers are as the name states an enhancement to a characters natural abilities and strengths as such any enhancer in use may be used at any time during the match so long as they are RP'd properly including naming the enhancer in RP. This is a very brutal match and therefore should not be entered into lightly. It is mostly done like a death match, save the death at the end, instead the winner gets to leave a lasting mark on the losers body. This mark can be as simple as a brand of some form to as elaborate as a detailed tattoo. There is to be no removal of limbs or extremities as such would be an alteration to another's character effecting the way that they can play said character. It is a Scar Match which means this is something that will leave a lasting mark. It is not a competition to allow crippling an opponents in anyway. The scar will be a visible mark left upon the flesh. Now as to whether this mark is left where it can be seen by the public or not is determined by the way combatants play it out, so long as the scar is acknowledged it does not matter.

If the loser of the match refuses to wear/acknowledge the scar, the winner may take out an AA contract, proof must be provided that the loser is not living up to the terms of the match.

Winner:bragging rights, Loser:scarred forever
Refusal to wear scar = AA contract.

Note: Also that in the event of a mock war all Death Matches and Scar Matches will be judged by these same guidelines. No quarter will be granted for invalid logs. Do it right at all times or do not do it at all. During a Mock War Scar Matches may still be held so long as they follow guidelines set for a proper Scar Match. The only difference will be that the imposed scar will only be worn by loser for the duration of the Mock War(so long as the terms and log clearly state (Mock War Scar Match).
