This technique helps to re-establishes your connection with the earth. Firstly, relax by breathing deeply, be aware of the flow of your breath.
Next, imagine that roots are going out of your and pushing into the floor, like a tree. The roots that is part of your is firmly grip into the earth of the ground. This would need some clear vision focus and practice helps. With each exhale breath, the roots grow deeping, and inhale to breath in the energy the earth offers. Repeat this for a couple of times, till you feel the connection, and your body filled with the natural goodness from the earth.
This is an excellent exercise to start of any ritual.
It helps to keep your connection, and ground of any excess energy after
rituals and prevent yourself getting "burned" out by the energy. Effects
of not grounding are dizziness, feeling lack of energy, strength, fatigue,
feeling "out - there" after rituals.
Breath awareness exercise:
Take long and rhythmic breaths and chant:
I am the breather (visualize yourself breathing)
Breathing in (breathe in)
And breathing out (breathe out)
repeat the above 4 - 5 times, then change to:
I am she who watches the breather (visualize yourself
observing yourself)
Breathing in (breathe in)
And breathing out (breathe out)
After several repeats, change to :
I am the breath (visualize yourself as the breath)
Being breathing in (breathe in)
And being breathing out (breathe out)
