Americans go crazy for Hoola Hoops. Last Year's Frisbie fad sailed off as American's go hoop-la for the Hoola Hoop. By the fall, 25 million had sold at about $3.00 each. Millions of kids were delighted and millions of adults had sore hips.

 

Kingston Trio, Tom Dooley; Everley Brothers, All I Have to do is Dream; Ricky Nelson, Poor Little Fool and Chuck Berry, Johnny B. Good were all hits that year.
