No matter what the attack...
Whether it be physical pain and suffering,
abuse, threats, loss of any kind, depression – anything that is causing
you to suffer in any way – you can have total and absolute victory over it
all...
And it doesn't matter whether you're
feeling super strong, or at your very weakest – it works for anyone who
can muster enough faith to ask Jesus for help in this special way.
Here's a clue...
Whenever I come under attack (from
anything), my favorite response is:
"Praise God, people are going to
be saved today!"
"I now rejoice in my
sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the
afflictions of Christ, for the sake of his body, which is the
church." (Col 1:24)
Now don't misunderstand this, it doesn't
in anyway mean that Christ's afflictions were not enough to save you – far
from it! What we don't see though, is everyone applying the power of the
cross in their lives. And what is very sadly lacking, is anyone willing to
suffer for the sake of others???
Here then, is the victory...
Everything you do suffer,
can be placed on the cross of Jesus and added to the very work of
salvation! As it is written....
"Now if we are afflicted, it
is for your consolation and salvation..." (2 Cor 1:6)
Can you imagine the effect on Satan, if
every time he makes a strike against you, that someone is saved because you
added it to the cross of salvation?! How do you think he would
respond, if every blow that he intended for evil, promoted the very work of
salvation?!
If you can see this amazing victory, then
you can see why the apostles found it so easy to rejoice in their
sufferings, and to thank God that they were suffering for the sake of the
kingdom, and for the sake of His body, which is the church.
We have many great
weapons...
The weapon of placing every attack, every
bit of pain and suffering onto the cross of salvation – for the benefit
and salvation of others – that is the answer! It's
more powerful than any weapon I have ever seen – and it relies totally on
the power of the cross, and on Jesus to do the fighting for us... You don't
need to be feeling strong, yet even in your weakness, you shall be strong!
Here's how to apply it...
When you come under attack or your
weaknesses arise within you (or even for weaknesses that you just want to
deal with) – whether spiritual, emotional or physical – anything from a
headache, to a fit of rage, to physical illness or demonic oppression –
anything... Do the following:
Especially if it's something that
highlights a need for healing or development within yourself...
Take on, the following attitude:
Wow... look what my Lord is showing me now!
Wow... look what he's going to be dealing
with!
Wow... look what my Lord is going to heal
me of!
And look what he is going to turn into
victory!
PRAISE THE LORD!
This attitude is a way of turning your
failures and despair into hope – it changes your focus from being under
attack (and possibly self pity), to what God is going to do about it.
Then exclaim...
"Praise God, people are going to be
saved today!"
Then pray – for example...
Heavenly Father, I place all this your
suffering on the cross of Jesus right now, and I ask that you add it to
the work of salvation – let others be saved and blessed by all
that I am suffering, even as I place it on the cross of Jesus – And as a
sign of my forgiveness, please bless first, anyone I feel may have caused
my suffering. Thank you.
In Jesus' holy name. Amen!
(You can name people you want to bless
in this way. Especially good, is to direct the blessing toward anyone who
might have caused your present suffering, or to members of your own
family, or to Anyone who has hurt you, or came against you. BLESS THEM!
This may be hard to do at first, but try
it....... Bless those who curse you! Ask The Lord to bless them
abundantly. You will soon see how AWESOME it feels to let Go, and let God
be in control of any and all situations you are facing! O what a relief it
is...... and a blessing to feel JOY in your heart for forgiving those who
have hurt you.
Then rejoice...
Thank and praise God for the tremendous
victory that he will bring through your suffering (because, like Jesus,
you have placed it on the cross for the benefit of others)... And because
Jesus is turning the very blows of Satan into the work of salvation.
Rejoice, because Satan will not be able
to continue the attack against you – because in doing so, he would be
defeating himself all the more with every moment he continues.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't have to be a spiritual warrior,
you don't even need to be feeling strong, but if you don't practice this
simple technique of victory, then you'll miss out on the most powerful
weapon there is... The weapon that turns every evil blow into a victory for
the church. The weapon that makes you strong, even when you are weak!
Amen!
Rather, focus on praising, thanking and
worshiping God... The more you keep it up, the harder it is for the enemy to
come near you — and the closer you get to God – with your heart full
of peace and joy!
So they departed from the presence of the
council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His
name. (Acts 5:41)
Now if we are children, then we are heirs
– heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his
sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Rom 8:17)
Now if we are afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation... (2 Cor 1:6)
And our hope for you is steadfast, because
we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will
partake of the consolation. (2 Cor 1:7)
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you,
and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for
the sake of His body, which is the church. (Col 1:24)
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his
body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has
suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the
rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of
God. (1 Pet 4:1-2)
Beloved, do not think it strange
concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing
happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's
sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with
exceeding joy. (1 Pet 4:12-13)
