Song Reviews

Spinned Madonna's "Secret" from Bedtime Stories album. YEAH! This track rocked the house down. Kick-ass bass was fast, punchy and DEEP. No more boomy like the ol' grand dad Aiwa NSX-800 mini.
Madonna's "Where Life Begins" from Erotica is another bassy beast. The TDLs went deep down with her. One thing about this song (German Pressing) is that some crackling can be heard in certain parts of the track. I don't think its due to the TDLs breaking apart and suspect its due to the recording process.
Time for some acoustics. Alice in Chain's "Nutshell" from Jars of Flies has a gut-wrenching sound and bass, especially the bass. Scott's voice is as life-like as can be, the moaning and whining sure brightens up my day.
Another acoustic track is "Sister" by Mr. Lenny Kravitz from Are You Gonna go my Way. The bass is simply awesome. Many objects in my room vibrated, including the floor. The TDLs effectively conveyed Lenny's anguish (about his sis I think).
OK, everybody's favourite demo disc: "Hotel California" from Hell Freezes Over. Very good stereo-imaging. Rhythm was spot-on. Bass was deep. Very deep.
