the Flight of Summer's rays
8/22/2000

the wind gently blows
rustling the palm trees
their melodic sounds flood the air
i look up at the cloudless sky
the blues bold shout
outlining the browns of the palm trees
while the sun shimmers on the green fronds
the rays gently fall upon my awe-stricken face
i smile
isn't life beautiful?
