| Awakened by nuclear testing in the arctic, Gamera appeared to terrorize Tokyo. Shot into space enclosed in a massive rocket, he was hoped to never be seen again. However, the ship collided with a meteor, thus releasing the monster. Returning back to Earth, Gamera destroyed a nuclear powered dam and later fought the monster Barugon. From this point on, Gamera would eventually become the defender of the Earth and its people. Though he succeeded in defeating an array of bizarre enemies, Gamera would eventually die saving the world from an alien invasion. | ||||||||
