Godzilla X Megagurius not making that much money
Yep that's right for some reason or another the new Godzilla movie in Japan is not doing so well. The new movie failed to make it past the number 6 spot in the Japanese box office. This is truly disappointing to all Godzilla fans out there as the prospect of another American theater released Godzilla movie goes down the toilet. Depending on how many tickets it sells in japan will definitely be the determining factor on if the movie will go to the theatres like 2000 did. But if that does not work out expect to see a direct to DVD/Video release real soon then.
New Godzilla Movie to start production
Well it is official TOHO has just announced that the next Godzilla movie aka 2002 project will begin shooting in December. The movies title will be Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah battle of the super monsters. This movie will feature Godzilla as the bad guy. But what is even weirder than that is the fact that King Ghidorah will be a good guy for the first time ever. The movie will also start the new mothra aka the rebirth one and baragon who was the monster in Frankenstien conquers the world. Expect this movie to be release in Japan next spring. One thing that disturbs me is the fact that Godzilla has a new design and this one looks closely related to the tristar version meaning that this movie may be doomed from the start
