It has come to my attention that the more vehemently something is denied, the greater liklihood of it being true. So if someone asks me if I am a racist I just say "no". But more often than not, "no" will not suffice. But I really do get bored of spouting my family tree when some politically correct prat takes offence if I say the anything that could be construed as racist or bigoted. So for the last time this is why I AM NOT A RACIST.
My mother comes from a line English travelling showmen and Irish gypsies, whose nomadic roots can be traced back through generations. It's my fathers side of the family that tends to get a touch confusing. His father was 1/2 Jewish, hailing from Scotland on the one side and Wales on the other. My dads 3 brothers married, an Indian, a Yugoslavian and A Maltese. My auntie married an Australian. So as you can imagine a family get-together tends to resemble a meeting of the UN Security Council. And as such I cherish each and every one of my multi-national ties and connections, and I see any form of discrimination based upon race, creed or colour as a slight on my own family. But I have also learned to laugh at the jokes about scottish jews inventing copper wire by fighting over a penny. Jokes are amusing and serve to remind us that none of us are that special that we can't be made the butt of somebodies humour.
As for sex. Well, I'll have to admit that in todays society some of my opinions may seem out-dated and old-fashioned. But that is because I see something as powerful as sex used as a toy. And when power is used improperly people get hurt. I know what your thinking, 2it's just sex, man", but throughout human history sex has been the one singular thing that has brought down governments, caused wars, and is responsible for billions of untimely deaths through disease and even jealousy. Sex has been used for thousands of years in magical rites and ceremonies, because our forefathers could see that that was our one godlike power. The power to create life. So understand this an erect penis has the greater killing capacity than any handgun. It just takes longer to die.
And then we have the obligatory nametags that go with your sexuallity. Homo, hetero or bi. What am I? Well if you wanted to classify me under anything it would have to be bi-sexual but I prefer to think that I just like people and every now and then somebody rings my bell. It doesn't matter to me that the object of my affections is male or female. It's eyes that do it for me, the physical form doesn't come into it. If you've eyes to die for then I'd probably chat you up.
So by now we should all have come to the conclusion that it is nigh on impossible for me to be bigoted or intolerant based on race, creed, colour, or sexual persuasion.
But if you ask me if I am racially predjudiced then I would have to say yes. First and foremost because I am English as that is my country of birth and secondly because I am British due to my family ties and because Great Britain is the nation of my birth.
I am racially predjudiced towards the sons and daughters of Albion left penniless, homeless, starving and ignored, whilst our government plays nursemaid to the world.
We have to house our homeless, heal our sick, and feed our poor. Then when we have regained our strength we can help everyone else.
