So how was your Christmas? Mine started out brilliantly with a Yuletide lunch that bordered the excessive surrounded by my closest family and friends. New Year unfortunately didn't quite go according to plan. I can blame lots of things. The conspicuously large amounts of Jack Daniels in the false belief that should I refrain from mixing my drinks I'd be fine. I could blame the drugs, both prescribed or otherwise. I could state that being in close proximity to people for extended periods makes me a wee bit tetchy. I can blame depression, the flu, or anyone of a thousand things that, in the right circumstances, warrant no emotional response and at othertimes they make us act like jerks.
To those that matter, I'm sorry.
Sorry for hurting feelings, embarrassing others and regurgatating some of my own predjudices. And I'm sorry to say that should our friendship continue it will probably happen again. But I think friendships endure worse.
