If your are traveling I-44 near Lebanon, Missouri, on a Saturday night, be sure to stop by the Midway Speedway (formally) I-44 Speedway at the Sleeper exit.

It is the fastest 3/8 mile asphalt track and provides a ton of action for the race fans.

Their season runs from mid April until it's too cold to race. Racing starts at 7:30pm but prior to that they have hot laps.

They race 5 divisions: Pure Street, Street Stock, Late Model, Grand American Modified and Grand American Late Model. Occasionally we have a truck or two run.

The track first opened in 1983, originally as a dirt track. It is owned by Bill and Louise Willard of Lebanon, Missouri. There is plenty of seating and they have a tiers section, where you can sit by your vehicle and tailgate prior to and during the race. This year Harold Armstrong a former racer has leased the track and rumors have it he has tons of neat ideas for the track this year!

As soon as I can get a pics of the track I will get them on here.

Some of the "famous" drivers that have raced at I-44 Speedway???
