Originally an evil character, Piccolo is accually the "son" of the evil part of Kame. When Kame tries to get the job guardian of the Earth, he has to rid himself of all evil. When he does this, the evil in him creates another being named Piccolo. The original Piccolo is killed by Goku but right before he died, Piccolo created a colone of himself and spat out an egg with the clone in it. After fighting on Gokou's side against Raditz, Piccolo becomes good and trains Gohan. During the Namek saga, Piccolo fuses with Nail. Then, he fuses with Kame, creating a Super Namek, being stronger than 17 but not as stong as Cell. Piccolo is a key character in the Dragonball saga.
