Isallinwe, Mother of the Forest and Giver of Moon Magic, is the Guardian
over all that live in the forest and sleeps under the nighttime sky.
Pixies, Dryads, Brownies, and Sprites worship her in addition to the
Elves.
Her tale is that she was once a female elf in love with an Elven
outcast while living in the house of her father, King Fealaduril.
Not wanting a vagabond son-in-law and possible heir to his throne,
the King gave her an alternative to stay in his house or leave and
never to return. Isallinwe fled under the light of the moon into the
forest to meet with her lover where they lived happily for many years
watching over the animals and other residents of the wood.
After many years, Isallinwe grew curious of how her father was fairing
and wished to return briefly home to see him. Her lover furious at
her wanting to leave him, stayed in the wood, and waited for her return.
During her absence, it is said that a beautiful dark female Drow appeared
before him. He could not resist her temptations and fell deeply in
love with her. Through trickery and manipulation she slowly twisted
him to her will and when she was done with him she transformed him
into a willow tree. Upon Isallinwe's return she found her lover in
tree form and wept. No magic could bring him back and she wept for
the rest of her days at his feet. She vowed never to leave the forest
again. Elven legend says that when you see a silver-haired wolf howling
in the deep forest - Isallinwe is nearby.
