Crag of Magus Mountains

The Crag of Magus Mountains or the "Crag" as they are more commonly known throughout Golandor, are composed of a mountain range that stretches from the northernmost tip of the land where the capital city is located to the depths of the mysterious Vast Forest to the south. At it's southernmost point, the Crag forms the eastern wall of a valley that is bordered on the west side by the easternmost tip of the Crystaline Mountains.

The Crag is known for it's hostile inhabitants and few Golandorians have ventured beyond the foothills at the base of the mountains. The range divides the kingdom of Golandor in half. The western portion of Golandor that encircles the Sea of Horindal is totally cut off from the eastern lands and coastal cities that border the Rolling Water with the exception of one pass. This pass named Waymouth Pass, is the only portion of the mountain range that is low enough and maneuverable enough for wagons, carts, and horses to travel through. Travel through the pass is risky due to the unpredictability of the weather and the bands of roving bandits and worse, monsters, that prey on the travelers passing through. This area has come to be patrolled often by a special group of mercenaries called the Sentinels. This group was formed by a merchant-turned-aggressive-bandit-killer named Andar Borinthe after his family was killed by bandits in a robbery attempt. It is said that he and over ninety men share in his cause to keep the pass safe for travelers and it is said that they are rewarded handsomely by the queen for their efforts.
